Today was a special milestone day for the St John Ohakune station, we celebrated the blessing of the new health shuttle garage. A warm, safe and dry place for our volunteer drivers. Thank you to all who have donated and supported us along the way. A special thank you to King Country Trust for the financial and positive support through this journey over the years. Ben’s shed is testament to the community’s spirit and resilience. Thank you also to all the volunteers family and friends who support them every single day behind the scenes.

Final thank you to Honeycomb Kitchen for the delicious food.

Please support our fundraiser, The Ruapehu Garden Ramble. Tickets available on our website www.waimarinogardenramble.nz and at Hello World in Ohakune.
Follow/ Like our page, Ruapehu Garden Ramble https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100084984878386. The page is where we post every few days with updates on the gardens, stalls and information for the day.
We organise the ramble in conjunction with the Ohakune Primary School PTA. This is one of our major fundraisers along with our stall at the Carrot Carnival. Funds from this go towards the upkeep of the Ohakune Ambulance station, the running of the Health Shuttle and currently our AED's in the community project. Get a ticket and come along, bring your family and friends for what promises to be a great day out. A unique opportunity to see beyond a garden gate and discover what we can grow in our special region.
If gardens aren't your thing we will have a hub at Ruapehu College on the day with a variety of stalls supporting local, where you can purchase some goodies and perhaps some early christmas presents.
These photos are a sneak peak selection from the gardens this year. We have 9 gardens in the 2024 ramble. We would like to thank our photographer Huriana Photography who volunteers her time to do this for us. Come join us!

It has been a long time coming and we are very excited! The garage building for our Health Shuttle and volunteer drivers is coming along nicely. Thank you to all the people and organisations who have contributed to the project along the way, in particular to King Country Trust who have stuck with us all these years. The Area Committee is very proud to have seen this project finally come to fruition and look forward to having this asset in our community for years to come.
