Taking care of your health means looking after what’s inside and out. Two important checks can help detect problems early — when they’re easiest to treat.

🎀 Breast Screening (Mammogram)
• Recommended every 2 years for women aged 45–69 (younger if you have higher risk).
• Can detect breast cancer before you notice symptoms.
• Quick, safe, and can save lives.

🩺 Cervical Screening (Smear/Self HPV Test)
• Recommended every 5 years for women and people with a cervix aged 25–69.
• Detects changes that could lead to cervical cancer, often before symptoms appear.
• Simple, private, and over in minutes.

At TCH, we offer the Southern Access and Choice program, which provides FREE well-being support. Our 30-minute appointment sessions are designed to help you make informed decisions about your health and enhance your overall well-being.

Our Health Improvement Practitioner (HIP), Natalie Clark, is available in our clinic every Tuesday. Natalie can assist you in problem-solving, overcoming obstacles, and setting goals. You will leave your appointment with a clear plan to follow.

Natalie is a registered nurse with a background in various fields, including acute, community, and youth mental health, maternity care, Plunket, inpatient medical wards, practice nursing, and work as a Telford student nurse. The HIP role draws from all these experiences to promote overall well-being.

The mobile clinic will be parked up at St John carpark, 7 High Street, Balclutha from 21 July to 22 August.

The bus provides BreastScreen Aotearoa mammograms, a free check for eligible wāhine-women to help detect breast cancer early.
