You may have seen recent media coverage, including the front page of yesterday's ODT, about a cybersecurity incident involving the ManageMyHealth (MMH) patient portal used by some general practices in NZ. It’s completely understandable if this has raised questions or concerns about whether your own health information is secure.

We want to reassure you that our practice uses the Well app.

We chose Well because it’s designed differently from some other patient portals. It does not extract or retain full patient records or ongoing clinical histories outside our practice systems. Your medical record continues to be held and managed securely by our practice as the trusted source.

Because of this approach, patients using Well are not exposed to this risk in the way described in the recent media coverage.

There is no action required from patients using the Well app. You can continue to use it as normal.

It's especially important to be stocked up if you're going away on holiday🎄
✅ Check in with your pharmacist to see if you have any repeats or need to contact us for new prescriptions.

✅ Remember, this is a busy season for GPs and pharmacies, and our opening hours over the festive season are limited, so get in touch early so we can sort your meds before the summer break begins.

Measles is highly contagious, but the good thing is it’s also preventable. This week is all about making sure our communities are protected.
💉 The MMR vaccine (measles, mumps, rubella) is free for anyone under 18 and for those eligible for free healthcare.
