Flu vaccines are now available. Book yours now at www.BookMyVaccine.co.nz, or call Healthline on 0800 28 29 26, or book through your GP, pharmacy, or healthcare provider. You can also book your COVID-19 vaccine, and receive it, at the same time as your flu vaccine.

The vaccine is free for people at higher risk of getting very sick from the flu including:

• people aged 65 years and over
• Māori and Pasifika aged 55 years and over
• pregnant people
• people who have a long-term medical condition like diabetes, asthma, or a heart condition (ages 6 months+)
• children aged 6 months to 12 years
• people with mental health and addiction issues

You can now get an additional COVID-19 booster dose if you are aged 30 and over and have completed a primary course, as long as it’s been at least 6 months since your last COVID-19 vaccine or positive COVID-19 test. Book yours now at www.BookMyVaccine.co.nz, or call Healthline on 0800 28 29 26, or book through your GP, pharmacy, or healthcare provider. You can also book your flu vaccine, and receive it, at the same time as your COVID-19 vaccine.

You’re also eligible if you are at increased risk of severe illness from COVID-19, and have completed a primary course, as long as it’s been at least 6 months since your last COVID-19 booster or positive COVID-19 test. Groups include:

• people aged 65 years and over
• Māori and Pacific peoples aged 50 years and over
• residents of aged care and disability care facilities
• severely immunocompromised people
• people aged 16 years and over who have a medical condition that increases the risk of severe breakthrough COVID-19 illness
• people aged 16 years and over who live with disability with significant or complex health needs or multiple comorbidities.
