There are hundreds of different methods to combat hair loss, but for the treatment to be effective and provide results, the cause of the problem must be identified.
Whether it is stress, past illnesses, or cosmetic products that are not suitable for you, each cause has its own treatment.
For the most people, the main problem hair loss, is the interruption of the micro circulation of blood in the scalp. This interruption causes destruction of the hair follicles, which causes unnecessary hair loss.
Occasional hair loss is nothing to worry about (it is normal to lose around 50 per day – with it doubling as you reach 40 years above). But if hair loss is more excessive and the problem does not resolve itself, and lasts more than for 3 months, it is the time to seek a medical advice.
Hair loss occurs as a result of:
- Constant stress and accumulated fatigue
- Pregnancy: hormonal changes cause different areas of the body to function differently
- Strict diets: when beginning diets, especially drastic ones, the body takes time to adjust
- Iron deficiency
- Frequent use of hairdryers, straighteners, and curling irons
- Keratin medications: these tend to alter the body’s natural keratin levels
- Certain illnesses that weaken the immunity
- High levels of coffee and alcohol consumption
- Thyroid conditions, aging and an imbalance of healthy bacteria

There are certain methods using vitamins and micro elements that can improve the health and overall quality of hair
- Group B Vitamins: These treat the hair roots and improve their metabolism
- Group A Vitamins: These help the formation of healthy hair follicles
- Biotin and Folic Acid: These restore the structure of hair and fight against brittleness
- Ascorbic Acid: This improves blood circulation in the scalp
All of these can be found in pharmacies, or online.
There are also things we can all do at home that can help reduce the effects that cause hair loss:
- Do not wash your hair with water above 40 degrees
- Massage the scalp; this boost blood circulation
- Use hair masks from time to time to restore natural elements
Here are a few Hair Mask Recipes you can try at home:
1) Mix one egg yolk with 1 Teaspoon of Vodka. Gently rub this into the scalp. Put on a shower cap and a warm hat. Leave and relax for 45 minutes. Wash with your usual shampoo and other products.
2) Mix 1 Teaspoon of castor or burdock oil with 1 Teaspoon of dry ginger. Gently rub into the scalp. Put on a shower cap and a warm hat. Leave and relax for 60 minutes. Wash with your usual shampoo and other products.
3) Warm 1 Teaspoon of Honey. Gently massage into the scalp. Put on a shower cap and a warm hat. Leave and relax for 60 minutes. Wash with your usual shampoo and other products.
4) Mix lemon and carrot juice (enough to wet and soak your hair) and massage into the hair. This helps to strengthen and volumize curls.
5)Mash two cloves of garlic an half an onion together into a paste, mix with 1 Tablespoon of any vegetable oil. Gently rub into the scalp. (This may seem odd, but garlic and onion contain vitamins and minerals that stimulate hair follicles!) Wash out mask with your usual shampoo and other products.
If the garlic/onion smell persists, rinse your hair in a basin filled with water + 3 Tablespoons of vinegar.

Today we are focusing on eyes.
The eyes, and the area around them, is unfortunately the most noticeable feature to show age.
Which is why today’s focus on eyes, is eye masks:
These masks are effective on combating ‘Crow’s feet’ and bags under the eyes, as well as tightening and moisturising the surrounding skin.
Before using any of these ingredients, you should always check your skin for any possible allergic reactions. You can do this by applying a small amount of the completed mixture to the skin on the inside of your elbow, and leave it on for 10-15 minutes.
If there is no redness or itching, then the mask is ready to use on the desired area.
- MASK 1:
> Mash 1 Teaspoon of banana. Add 1 Teaspoon of warm soft butter. Mix well.
> Apply to cleansed skin around the eyes
> Lie down and Relax
> After 10-15 minutes, gently wash the mask off – careful not to stretch the delicate skin

- MASK 2:
> Mash 1 Teaspoon of soft, ripened avocado. Mix well with 1 Teaspoon of honey.
> Apply to cleansed skin around the eyes
> Lie down and Relax
> After 10-15 minutes, gently wash the mask off – careful not to stretch the delicate skin

-MASK 3:
> Peel and grate a small potato finely
> Add an equal part of sour cream to the potato. Mix well.
> Apply to cleansed skin around the eyes
> Lie down and Relax
> After 10-15 minutes, gently wash the mask off – careful not to stretch the delicate skin

- MASK 4:
> Grind 1 Table Spoon of rolled oats (leave fairly chunky)
> Add 1-2 Table Spoons of warm milk
> Add 1 drop of any oil or butter. Mix well
> Apply to cleansed skin around the eyes
> Lie down and Relax
> After 10-15 minutes, gently wash the mask off – careful not to stretch the delicate skin

After cleaning each mask off, don’t forget to apply your serums and moisturiser as you usually would.

With all masks, they have a cumulative effect. This means that they should be used regularly to produce any visible results. Make sure to continue the process a couple times each week (or more if you wish), to see the results you are looking for.
However, do not put the mask on just before bed, or immediately after waking up. It is better for the skin to wait at least an hour after waking up, and an hour before bed.

Also, make sure that the masks do not get into your eyes!

Hello my dear ladies!
I believe by now that every house is sparkling clean, and maybe it is time to remember about ourselves; or should I say about our face and about our skin! Because, one say soon (I hope) we will all have to face the world again.
As you all know, the Natalia’s Clinic – home to all the intensive products and specialized tools and equipment - is unavailable now, but this does not mean we cannot do things in our own home!
So, remember your skin care routine (stick to it). I am sure that everyone knows their skin type by now.
Here are a few masks you can make yourself, from ingredients you have at home:
- MASK 1:
> Mix well: 1 cooled egg white + 2 Table Spoons of cornflour + ½ 1 Teaspoon of grape seed oil (if you don’t have grape seed oil, Olive oil will work fine).
> Apply the mixture on cleansed skin with a soft brush (or a cotton pad).
> RELAX and leave on for 15-10 minutes.
> Wash off with warm water, pat dry, apply serum, and moisturise.

- MASK 2:
> Grind 3 Table Spoons of rolled oats into a fine powder. Mix with 1 egg yolk and 2 Teaspoons of cream.
> Apply the mixture on cleansed skin with a soft brush (or a cotton pad).
> RELAX and leave on for 15-10 minutes.
> Wash off with warm water, pat dry, apply serum, and moisturise.

- MASK 3:
> Grind 1 Table Spoon of rice into a fine powder. Mix with 1 whole egg and 1 Teaspoon of sour cream.
> Apply the mixture on cleansed skin with a soft brush (or a cotton pad).
> RELAX and leave on for 15-10 minutes.
> Wash off with warm water, pat dry, apply serum, and moisturise.

- MASK 4:
> With 1 Teaspoon of dry yeast, add 2 Table Spoons of warm milk and mix. Leave for 10 -15 minutes.
> Add 1 Teaspoon of honey to the yeast-milk mixture
> Add 1 Teaspoon of cornflour to the mixture as well
> Apply 4 – 5 layers to the skin, allowing each layer to slightly dry (about 1 minute) before applying the next.
> RELAX and leave on for 15-10 minutes.
> Wash off with warm water, pat dry, apply serum, and moisturise.

All of these masks aim to diminish the appearance of fine lines, to nourish and to stimulate dry skin.
Please DO NOT use any of these masks if you have an allergy for any of the ingredients

Good Luck, and take care of yourselves and your skin!
