Core Boards are going to be installed in Victoria Park, Rangiora and Trousselot Park in Kaiapoi. These have just been approved by the two Community Boards and there are plans for a couple of other playgrounds in the Woodend/Pegasus and Oxford area.

Happy to hear this!

❤️ The budget is in - and it's a big win for education, inclusion and communication.

This week, the Government announced $192 million in new funding to ensure every primary and intermediate school in Aotearoa has a full-time Learning Support Coordinator. And....we're seeing investment in speech-language therapy with 78.5 full time SLT roles funded across the motu.

At NZSTA, we're proud to have submitted a business case championing this need - for our profession, for students, and for the whānau and teachers who support them.

While we may not always know the direct impact pf a single submission, we'll always keep showing up. And today, we celebrate progress - together.

For every learner who needs support.

Super excited for our first event with Oxford Playcentre on March 7th at 10am. Playcentre quickly became our village when we moved to Oxford, where we met some life long friends. Now both of our children are in their school era, I’m excited to be supporting the community with all things speech and language development! Communication is so important, so bring along any concerns, chat about how to navigate the system or pick up tips on how to support early language, all whilst your tamariki play! Happy belated New Year! We’re getting back to it and would love to help more families with all things communication related this year.
There are some exciting projects coming up, including supporting our local playcentre with some drop in sessions. There are also some limited therapy spaces available for the upcoming term, these are location dependent to allow for travel. Get in touch today for more info! 🐝
