📢 CHANGES TO YOUR PRESCRIPTION LENGTH 📢

From 𝟭 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, some people with stable, long‑term health conditions will be able to receive prescriptions lasting 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝟭𝟮 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘀.

🩺 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂 to decide whether a 12‑month prescription is suitable for your health needs.

💊 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝟯 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘀, and all repeats must be collected from the 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗽𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗰𝘆.

🚫 𝗡𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 are being made to the rules for 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗿𝘂𝗴𝘀 (e.g., strong pain relief, ADHD medicines).

💵 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸?
• 💰 You’ll continue to pay 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗼‑𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺 when you collect your first supply.
• 🔁 𝗡𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝘀 for the same prescription.
• 🆓 People already exempt (children under 14, CSC holders and dependents, seniors 65+) 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗺𝗽𝘁.

📌 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿
• 🛡️ 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁: Your prescriber will discuss your health before deciding the prescription length.
• 📦 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲: You can only collect 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲.
• 💸 𝗡𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁: You only pay the co‑payment once per prescription.
• 🚶‍♀️ 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: Fewer trips to the doctor for repeat prescriptions.
