It’s finished! 🧶🐘

Our talented Longridge knitters have officially completed the woollen blanket for Sri Nuan, the senior rescue elephant at Elephant Nature Park.

So many residents contributed wool, time and talent that these photos don’t even show everyone involved. It’s been a real group effort. And just look at it now!

It turns out a full sized elephant blanket takes up more space than we expected.

One very large, very colourful blanket, made with so much love, heading off soon to keep one very special elephant warm.

Sri Nuan has had a long life and now enjoys her days surrounded by her herd. Knowing a little piece of Longridge will soon be wrapped around her is pretty special.

We’ll share photos once she receives her blanket.

Our Open Day is tomorrow and we’re open from 10am till 2pm. The weather’s looking good too. ☀️

Longridge residents are knitting a woollen blanket for Sri Nuan, a senior rescue elephant at Elephant Nature Park in Thailand, after the project began with a staff member’s volunteering experience.
