This is a beautiful explanation of Contact CARE :-)
Tonight I thought you may be interested to know a little more about the 2nd part of my business name. For the 1st part, think 'horse', that's your clue ;) I will talk about Cavalli in a later post.
Contact Care (the 2nd part) was originally written as ConTact C.A.R.E., which stands for Commonsense Approach to Real Ease. During a session I observe my client in their comfort position, looking with my eyes but also by touch for the places that do NOT move easily, the bones that feel so still &, in a sense, 'heavy' to me that the rest of the skeleton seems to be floating in comparison.
A bone, such as described above, that has been impacted by a sudden shock or surprise (the impact may be remembered most times, but not always) is contracted with excess pressure, which we call a 'lock in the bone.' The rest of the body must compensate with a counter-weight to maintain balance in sitting, standing, walking, reaching - life movements. The client is feeling the compensation workload but not the cause of it.
ConTact CARE releases the contraction so that normal function can return. We are skilled in seeing what does NOT move in a sea of movement;
Extra-ordinary movement is created by extra-ordinary STILLNESS.
Have a beautiful evening and I will be sure to post again soon.
