O’Neil, Rea Mabel Of Whanganui, formerly of Hamua, peacefully at Summerset Whanganui, on Monday 12th January 2026 aged 72 years. Dearly loved Mum of Shea and Carla, Tui and Kate, Jeremy and Bek, and Dion (deceased). Treasured Nanny of Caelin, Manaia, Aaliyah, Bella, Orlando, Sonny, Kahu, Aroha, and Tama. Rea will be sadly missed by the wider Emery whanau, who loved her dearly. A service to celebrate Rea’s life will be held at the Tararua Club, Tararua Street, Pahiatua on Thursday 15th, January, 2026, at 10.30am. Followed by interment at Tahoraiti Urupa, Dannevirke.

Of Ruawhata, on Wednesday 31st December 2025, surrounded by his loving family, aged 74 years. Devoted husband and best friend of Valerie. Treasured Dad to Glenn and Moira, Shane and Jess, and Heather and Cory. Cherished Poppa of Keira, Caylee, and Emma; Harrison, and Annelise; Pippa, Leah, and Madison; and Isaac, and Charlotte. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Philippa and Willie Purvis, Geoff and Catherine, and Stephanie Aspinall. Much loved Pa of Caron, and Kayla; Tori, and Emma; and Rawiri, Ariana, Tiari, Manaia, Jahzaiah, and Jay-Dean. Dearly loved brother of Graham and Alison (both deceased), Diana Carthew and Bill (deceased), and Pauline and Peter Russell. Dearly loved brother-in-law of Gordon and Linda Andrew, Val McBeath and Pauline and Don Collyer, and loved uncle to his nieces and nephews. Of Pahiatua, on Tuesday 9th December 2025 peacefully at Waireka Pahiatua, aged 88 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Harry. Much loved Mum of Tom and Judith, Pauline and Derek, Denise (deceased), Nick and Andree, Karen and Rei, and Dave and Sally. Treasured Nana, old Nana, and GG to 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Grateful thanks to the staff of Ward 25 (Opal) PN Hospital and of Waireka for their support and care. John, Denise and George, Jane and Dean, Patricia, John and Sharon and the extended families would like to thank those who showed love, sympathy and support to us during this time of Doreen’s short illness and then sad passing. We are grateful for the cards, letters, flowers, emails, texts, baking, home visits and attendance at the Mass by so many. Loved Mum of Deborah, Vicky, and Tracey; step-Mum of Sandra, and Wayne. A much loved Nana, great-Nana, sister, Aunty and friend to many.
