Please read the attached letter about our temporary pricing adjustment due to rising fuel costs. We have already reached out to a number of customers by email and have received some very understanding feedback, which is reassuring that we have chosen the right approach to an issue that, unfortunately, most businesses can’t avoid during this period of uncertainty and volatility.

As we’re way past the half-year point of 2025 🗓️🫣, we thought it’s time for a bit of a winter update!

As you may have noticed from the back of our newly wrapped van (more about that below), our service list has evolved slightly as we've welcomed another fantastic team member – introducing Chris Marsh! Chris brings extensive experience in landscaping and small building projects, ready to transform your gardens and craft that beautiful deck you've always dreamed of! He and his family recently moved here to escape busy Auckland, where he ran his own landscaping business. If you get to know him and feel like you've met him before, you might have watched some “Mitre 10 Easy As Garden” DIY videos 😉

And in case you wondered about that ominous grey van going up and down your road and driveways for a few months, that was us! 👋
From now on, you won’t need to wonder any longer, as we have finally finished its branded look with the help of our dear friend Stu, who recently started his businesses “Boatox” and “The Signtists” in Opua. He is currently swamped with work, but if you ever need a vinyl wrap on your vehicle or boat, or if you are looking for creative design work to be done, keep him in mind. We love your work, Stu!

We’re pleased with the recent sunny winter days (after the very wet period that made it difficult for the team to stay on track), and we look forward to spring to get into full gear again!

Just like you need the right boots for work, your mental health needs the right care. Here are some simple tips:

✅ Take breaks: Step away from work now and then. A quick walk can do wonders!

✅ Talk it out: Chat with a mate or a pro if things get tough. It's okay to ask for help.

✅ Sleep well: A good night's rest is like a reset button for your brain.

✅ Stay connected: Catch up with friends and family. Social bonds are super important.

✅ Do things you enjoy: Make time for hobbies. It's not selfish, it's necessary!

Remember, looking after your mental health is just as important as physical safety. You wouldn't go to work without your safety gear, so don't forget to look after your mind too.

As promised, here’s another story about one of our latest beautifying projects, which contributes to the appearance of our local communities.

We worked on the roundabout SH10/Wiroa Rd, Kerikeri’s entranceway in September. The Far North District Council (FNDC) approached us to quote for a tidy-up of the area, as some plants and weeds had gotten out of hand with the latest spring growth. We were stocked to tackle the commission and give this significant roadcrossing some TLC.

Working for public sector clients like the FNDC is possible due to our ongoing investment in our team and machinery. Our team has grown in size and capabilities with our commitment to training and health safety, ultimately resulting in our SiteWise Green certification (which is crucial on every job, but particularly on this kind of job).

Our latest team member, Vanessa, captured some great shots of the hard work Gareth (head of landscaping and gardening), herself and the team put into it. Well done, team!!!
Vanessa is multitalented, being proficient in working with all sorts of machinery and tools AND on her camera - what more can we wish for?! 🤩

Have you seen us on the road lately? 😉 We're proud to contribute to the appearance of our local communities!

In August, we contributed our machinery and labour on a volunteer basis to the Focus Paihia Community Trust, cleaning up the bluff rail and, later, most of the benches and wooden seats dotted throughout town and on the waterfront. Dan, our general maintenance and surface cleaning specialist and our awesome team finished this job just in time for other volunteers to paint and stain everything during a big working bee, making it look fresh for another fantastic season in paradise!

We were excited to use our new pressure cleaning machinery skid setup on this job, which we can transfer between a trailer (as seen in the pictures) or onto the back of one of our utes. This setup allows us to manoeuvre these tricky, steep, and narrow BOI driveways, and we can carry our own water supply in the tank.

Special thanks to our team member Florian Stiffler, who volunteered his working hours on this job - you're a superstar, and Paihia is lucky to have you as a local now!!! 🤩
