I’ve been helping clients reduce weight for over 14 years. Hundreds—well, thousands—have shed excess kilos and felt empowered; they’ve done it themselves. Along the way, they’ve learned about their bodies, what foods suit them and which don’t.
Over the years, I’ve seen many drugs and supplements marketed as the magic weight loss solution—pills, patches, oils—often described as though they’re a gift from the gods! Yes, they frequently bring results; the weight drops off, and users feel great. But the problem is, once they stop using these magic potions, the weight and other health issues come rushing back. They’re left back at square one, older, heavier, and none the wiser.
So, why am I bringing this up?
In recent years, we’ve seen even more products hit the market, all promising the same thing: you can keep eating and drinking whatever you like, and still lose weight and feel amazing. And, all too often, we believe it! But if we keep chasing these quick fixes and don’t take the time to understand what’s really happening inside our bodies, we’ll never find lasting solutions.
We’ll continue to jump from one “solution” to another, never truly reaching our potential. We’re handing ourselves over to companies that profit from our desire to be slimmer, healthier, more desirable. We’re becoming slaves to the very system that’s at the root of our struggles—a system that encourages us to hand our health over to doctors, pharmacists, or big corporations. But they will never help us in the way we really need.
The truth is, we need to change our habits so that we can habitually be healthy, habitually be happy, and habitually love the life we live. When we do that, we can help each other become the best we can be!
I know how challenging this can be; I’ve been there. I hunted for years, searching for solutions. But what I’ve learned is this: the solution doesn’t come from a bottle or a packet. It comes from our willingness to do the work—to make the changes necessary for our bodies to thrive.
We all have the ability to change and adapt. Our creator has gifted us this ability, but we’ve neglected to exercise it. Like anything else, it takes practice. But once we make a habit out of it, this is true empowerment. When we embrace this, we naturally become the healthiest, slimmest version of ourselves.
Rant over—what do you think?
