A full van of residents headed north to Taranaki this week for a wonderful Village outing to the Tawhiti Museum. đ
Created by artist Nigel Ogle, Tawhiti is widely regarded as one of New Zealandâs most innovative museums, bringing history to life through incredibly detailed life-size exhibits and scale model displays. With over 5,500 square metres of fascinating dioramas and exhibits â many built onsite in the museumâs âBody Shopâ studios â there was plenty to explore and enjoy.
After a leisurely wander through the museum, we made our way into HÄwera for a wonderful lunch at The Gathering CafĂ©, before heading back to the Village just in time for Happy Hour â the perfect way to round off another great Village outing.
