Beauchamps

Beauchamps Funeral home, crematorium, and generally all round cool people. We are a locally owned family run funeral home, crematorium and monumental masons.

Situated in Palmerston North, Beauchamp Chapel can hold small and large funerals seating 200 plus and provides a reception lounge for refreshments. The funeral home on John F Kennedy Drive was built in 2004 and designed by local architect David Chapple. Its modern design allows us to offer our families the most up to date technology, including webcasting all over the world. Beauchamp Funeral Home has been in the Feilding community for 25 years and now offers the choice of a wonderful new chapel, or a traditional homestead for smaller funerals. The architecturally designed contemporary chapel offers a serene setting with high ceilings and warm American oak joinery. It seats 170, with 40 more on a mezzanine level, plus standing room, a refreshment lounge and after-hours viewing room. There’s the latest in video recording as well as webcast capability, nationally and overseas. For funerals for up to 40, the ‘Feilding House’ chapel, built in 1926, offers 1920s character, on-site catering and restful private garden with mature trees. The Cobham Chapel, located at 18 Morris St, Marton, has a modern yet warm country-feel. The chapel will accommodate more than 150 people and includes all the latest audio visual technology as well as a fully equipped kitchen and lounge area. The beautiful work on the total transformation is testament to the many local contractors and suppliers involved.

This isn’t just a building, it’s part of Feilding’s story.

And, we are passionate about preserving a special piece of Feilding’s history ❤️ back in 1926 the Knight family owned Feilding House (next door) and eventually gave this block to the Presbyterian Church where it has stood all these years.

The Knox Church has entered a new chapter, with Beauchamp Funeral Home now stepping in as its owners and caretakers. And no - despite Anthony’s best (and very entertaining!) attempts, we won’t be starting our own religion anytime soon 😄

Right now, the space is being used for funeral overflow, larger reception gatherings, and is available for venue hire, but this is just the beginning.

The Beauchamps are proud to have Knights Corner back as one 😊

Grief doesn’t always look like sadness — sometimes it looks like tradition ❤️

Every year, our family comes together for a potato dig in memory of our grandmother. It might sound simple, but it’s become something really special — a way to feel close to her, to share stories, laugh, and keep her spirit alive in the things she loved.

Remembering someone doesn’t have to be quiet or heavy. It can be full of life, connection, and even a little dirt under your nails.

Here are a few gentle ways to honour someone you’ve lost:
🌿 Create a yearly tradition in their name
📸 Share stories and old photos
🍽 Cook their favourite meals
🌻 Spend time doing something they loved
💛 Gather with the people who knew them best

However you choose to remember them, it’s enough. Love doesn’t end — it just finds new ways to show up.

One feature in the Feilding office often sparks conversation - it represents the person who has passed away, surrounded by their loved ones.

While the light feature itself might not be Dale’s personal favourite, the story behind it is an important one. It reflects what so many families experience in those moments: the reminder that no one stands alone, and that every life is held within a circle of connection, memories, and love.

For Dale, it’s these stories and the people behind them that make the work so meaningful.

Thank you, Dale, for your 11 years of care and dedication supporting families in our community. 💛

Strong women build strong communities. 💫

As we head towards International Women’s Day, the incredible women of Beauchamps came together to create something special — a reel that celebrates the strength, talent, dedication and support that exists within our team every day.

Behind every success story is a group of women lifting each other up, sharing knowledge, showing resilience and leading with heart. We’re proud to work alongside such inspiring people and to celebrate the impact women continue to make in our workplace and beyond.

Here’s to empowering each other, breaking barriers, and continuing to pave the way for future generations. 💜

For Richie, caring for little ones isn’t just work — it’s a sacred responsibility.

The funeral director and embalmer carries out his work with incredible compassion and care.

In his recent reel, he spoke about the honour of caring for small children — a responsibility he approaches with gentleness, dignity, and deep respect.

Probably the only time you will see a "park on the grass" sign

If you are attending a funeral at the Feilding Funeral Chapel there is extra parking on the lawn next door at Knox Church with a gate between.

Big thanks to Beauchamp Signs for getting these up 👍

With his cheeky grin and great sense of humour, Anthony joined the family business short-term to help out around 20 years ago (exact years are still being debated between siblings!😂). Regardless, he's never looked back! As Managing Director, he’s constantly focused on improving business operations and is incredibly proud of the BHF team.
