A big thank you to the Rapid Relief Team (RRT) for their generous donation of 10 Food Boxes to ACROSS 💛

These kai packs will go a long way in supporting the whānau we walk alongside every day. Thank you, RRT, for recognising the mahi we do to strengthen families and uplift our community.

RRT donated 10 Food Boxes to Across Te Kotahitanga O Te Wairua, a faith-based organisation supporting families and communities in Palmerston North. Their services include practical assistance, counselling, and programmes that strengthen whānau. We’re honoured to contribute to their important work.

Look what we found!

While sorting through some old files, we came across a Christmas newsletter from 1990, and wow, what a find! It’s filled with heartfelt stories, and a beautiful reminder of the aroha and connection that’s been at the heart of ACROSS for decades.

It’s amazing to see how much has changed, and how much has stayed the same. The people, the care, the community, it’s all still here.

We’ll be sharing more, so keep an eye out… You might even recognise a few names or faces! ❤️

A big thank you to Heather and Liz for hand-knitting and donating these gorgeous beanies! 💛 Each one has been made with care and as you can see, our teddy bear models are loving them!

🌱 Te Kākano: The Seed 🌱

We’ve just decorated a new room here at ACROSS, and we’ve called it Te Kākano, which means The Seed.

A simple name, but a powerful one, reminding us that from small beginnings, big things can grow. Whether it’s a conversation, a new idea, or a connection between people, this space is about growth, potential, and new beginnings.

We hope Te Kākano will be a place where people feel safe, supported, and inspired. A space where good things can take root and flourish.

We can’t wait to see what grows here. 💚

Today we remember and honour the courage, sacrifice, and service of all who served Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia in times of war and peacekeeping.
