🏀 Rangatahi Raukura Basketball Video Part 3 | More than basketball. More than a game.

In this final chapter of our Rangatahi Raukura Basketball story, we hear from the people who see the change every day.
our social worker Banele and Aunty Rose, one of our proud mumma bear.

They share what this programme truly means, how it’s shaping confidence, character, and connection, and why this space has become so much more than just a court.

This is about whānau.
This is about growth.
This is about rangatahi finding their strength.

Watch Part 3 and see the impact through their eyes. 💛🏀

🏀 Rangatahi Raukura Basketball – Part 2
This video dives into the heart of the programme, teamwork, trust, and stepping up as leaders on and off the court.

Our rangatahi showed incredible determination, backed each other, and proved that when you move as a team, anything is possible.

Proud of every single one of our young people. 🙌💛

🎄🧸 Thank You, Manawatu Woodworkers Guild 🧸🎄

We are so grateful to the amazing Manawatū Woodworkers Guild for their generous donation of beautifully handcrafted wooden toys (just in time for Christmas)

Each toy has been carefully made with aroha, creativity, and incredible skill. These gifts will bring joy to tamariki in our community.

If you’re visiting ACROSS over the next few weeks, please feel free to take a wooden toy to gift to the young ones in your life this Christmas. ✨

It’s a lovely way to share the spirit of kindness and support local craftsmanship.

Ngā mihi nui to the Woodworkers Guild for helping us spread smiles this festive season ❤️🎁

🌿 3 Things to Do in Palmy this Labour Weekend! 💚

Stroll through The Esplanade – Enjoy the beautiful gardens, playgrounds, and riverside walks. Pack a picnic or grab a coffee and soak up the sunshine!

Visit the Wildbase Recovery Centre – Meet some of Aotearoa’s incredible native wildlife and learn about their conservation stories (a great outing for the whole whānau).

Explore the local markets – Check out the Feilding Farmers’ Market on Friday or the Village Night Market for local kai, crafts, and live music. Support local and enjoy the festive vibe!

Whatever you’re up to, have a safe and relaxing long weekend, Palmy! 🌞

Our staff room has had a fresh new look! No more red and yellow. Now it's a calming Moon Mist green! 🌿 It’s amazing what a splash of paint can do to brighten up the space and lift everyone’s spirits.

A big thank you to Arianna and Bri from St Peter's College for volunteering their time, and to Shane and Jenny for helping make it happen. 🙌 It took just two days, and we’re loving the new vibe! 💫
