Some dates carry extra weight.
For those bereaved by su***de, anniversaries or birthdays can bring a wave of emotion that feels heavier than expected.

Your mind and body remember these moments, even when you’re not thinking about them. If an important date is coming up, be gentle with yourself and reach out for support if you need it.

You don’t have to navigate it alone, our bereaved by su***de support group referral form: https://forms.office.com/r/m5gRM1q7rE?origin=lprLink

Have a good long weekend whānau!

We will be closed on Monday and will be back on track Tuesday 28th April.

🐴We’re excited to support the Mounted Rifles from the Anzac Mounts Rehab Unit, honouring the role that horses played in wartime and paying tribute to those who served alongside soldiers.

They will be visiting Linton Camp and Turitea schools today and Bunnythorpe and Ashhurst schools tomorrow.

👉You can see the Mounted Rifles at the city’s official Anzac Day services in Te Marae o Hine – The Square, the dawn service at 6am, or the civic service at 9am.

This year's Anzac day commemorations mark a significant milestone, recognising 100 years since the unveiling of The War Memorial - Cenotaph in Te Marae o Hine – The Square, as well as 110 years of the Palmerston North RSA.
🛩The Biggin Hill Trust at Ohakea will be flying over as part of the civic service. This year is particularly special, as it will be the first time the Spitfire, Mustang, and Avenger have flown together over our city.

🖍Don’t forget to pick up the Anzac Day children’s colouring competition from any City Library location. This competition is in partnership with the RSA and Palmy BID. There are two age categories and entries close Thursday April 30.

🎥And check out the special screening of the film Devils on Horses at the Globe Theatre on Sunday 26 April at 7pm

FREE Raising Self‑Esteem Programme for Women and Girls

This programme is a one‑on‑one journey over six sessions. It gives you a safe, private space to grow your confidence, understand yourself better, and build emotional strength at a pace that feels right for you.

Each session includes a guided workbook that helps you explore your thoughts, beliefs, and experiences. You’ll learn practical tools for:

- building self-worth and confidence
- changing unhelpful thinking patterns
- improving self-talk and emotional wellbeing
- strengthening resilience and coping skills

Because the sessions are one‑on‑one, everything is tailored to you. There’s plenty of space to talk, reflect, and grow in a way that feels comfortable and meaningful.

After you finish the six sessions, you can join our optional monthly workshops. These are creative, empowering group sessions where you can connect with others who have completed the programme. Activities may include affirmation boards, vision boards, and other hands‑on projects that support confidence and a sense of achievement.

Referrals welcome - ages 13+
