Big changes are coming… Physio Rehab Group is merging with Habit Health

Five years ago, Physio Rehab Group joined the Habit Health whānau, growing into a bigger network of care for Kiwis across the country. Now it’s time for them to adopt the Habit Health name - you’ll start to see a new look out front, but rest assured, it’s still them behind the doors, with the same passion and commitment to you.

Since 1991, Physio Rehab Group have been helping Aucklanders, and thousands of Kiwis stay strong, active, and supported, and while it’s a bittersweet farewell to the PRG name, they’ll still be here to support you.

Looking back, we’re filled with immense pride for all they’ve achieved together, and endless gratitude for the trust, friendships, and memories that have shaped PRG. A special mention to Karen, who started the journey all that time ago and has been (and will continue to be!) a driving force for the team of physios, and to Mark and Jordan for their guidance along the way.

They’ll continue to run their clinics and remain proud owners in the business as we step into this new chapter. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating all that PRG has been, and in welcoming the new adventures ahead as part of Habit Health.

Thank you for being such an important part of our story, for your loyalty, and for the memories we’ll always carry with us. Here’s to new beginnings.

Tony is still on the move, making his way up the country on foot, taking a kick at every provincial rugby union home ground!

He recently caught up with Inge and our Nelson team for a chat and some TLC. We’re proud to be supporting Tony as he walks to support the Rugby Foundation.

We’re so lucky to have Alena’s energy and care on the team. She’s already making such a difference for our patients - the comments say it all!

Meet Alena 👋🏻 she just moved to Upper Hutt from Fiji. She's one of the many migrants coming to work in our healthcare system ❤️

We had a giggle together when she asked me my occupation and at first I wasn't sure what to say 😂 then everyone cracked up when I finally said "I'm the Mayor.."

Welcome to Te Awa Kairangi Ki Uta Alena - we are so lucky to have you.

We love being part of the Majestic Centre, an iconic Wellington building and the tallest in the city!

We might not have the views, but you’ll find plenty happening inside: our physios, hand therapists, occupational health nurses, head office team and of course, our Majestic Gym & Fitness Centre.

Think high-tech equipment, a weights room, cardio studio, group fitness classes, plus a pool, spa, sauna and steam room, everything you need under one very tall roof!

Last week, EAP Services Lead Dr. Hayley Walker-Williams and Monica Barnes (Menopause & Wellness) shared how we are leading the way in midlife hormonal health to experts across New Zealand and Australia.

They delivered a powerful session “Midlife Matters: Elevating Hormonal Health in the Modern Workplace.” at the Employee Assistance Professionals Association Australasia Conference in Sydney.

The presentation tackled one of the most under-discussed workplace wellbeing issues of our time: midlife hormonal transitions. From menopause to andropause (the long-closed conversation of male menopause), they reminded us that this isn’t just a personal issue but a workplace wellbeing priority that impacts energy, mood, and performance at a pivotal career stage.

By embedding hormonal health into psychosocial risk frameworks, EAP can act as a powerful connector between individual care and organisational strategy.

The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with delegates praising their honesty, evidence-based insights. The practical takeaways for creating more supportive, future-ready workplaces give leaders the tools to lead differently, supporting midlife employees to thrive.

We’re so proud of the work our team is doing to break stigma and lead meaningful change!

So here's a challenge for you - how are you supporting staff through midlife hormonal health? And what more can you do to help your people at the peak of their careers thrive?
