Consuming green tea rich in catechins with a high fat meal can prevent weight gain according to a recent study published in the Food & Function journal.

That's good news going into the holidays but remember you need to drink high quality teas (not supermarket) to get enough of the catechins.

A new study has found another way that green tea can help you stay slim - by reducing the amount of starch you absorb after a meal with carbohydrates.

The key? The more polyphenols the tea has, the better it will work. (Fresh tea like the tea you get from PureBody has the most polyphenols!).

The research by scientists at Poznan University in Poland means that it could be used to help those suffering from obesity and diabetes as it can help reduce the amount of starch absorbed.
