A stunning way to develop a beautiful lifestyle for my future clients.

I am also blessed as we have a Beauty Room so I will be able to offer special treatments on occasion to my customers.

A big day today in the professional retail world.
Completing 2026 Health and safety, Fire procedures, Policy and Procedures, Customer service and many other options.
Lucky its all on individual units by computer.
You have to pass questions to continue through the units.
Its an entire big team needing to Completing.

Then just for entertainment the Fire Alarms went off in the Plaza Shopping center.
So fascinating to observe peoples reactions.
Most people are like hearding cats 🐈
Absolutely no idea how to exit a building.
Even with Alarms going off and Fire exit signs.
Many got in their cars and wanted to drive out ? How would the fire engine come in ?
Plus the traffic jam.

Mostly people responed well, with firm directions. There are always a few lemons in the crowd.
Lucky it was a sunny day so it was nice to stand outside in the sun for 40 mins whilst the building was cleared.

Nothing like an adventure to keep things interesting.

Never a dull day.

Such an honour to celebrate a very special friend and artist Shellie Hanley. Last night at Rinitawa Art and History Gallery, Woodville, Shellie Hanley spoke about her extensive career as a multimedia artist. Her beautiful new art pieces are displayed in the same gallery as New Zealand's Gottfried Lindauer. The gorgeous Huia series is just the beginning of so much more to come. I feel blessed and privileged to celebrate you Shellie Hanley ###🙏. P.s take the time to visit this collection 😍

Passion Project
Every year, I dive into my world of a
Aromatherapy (plant medicine).

I first studied full-time under Dr. Bo Hengden, Absolute Essential, Organic Essential Oils, New Zealand. I was one of her first stockists in the 1990s.
I also studied again for two years full-time, achieving a Diploma in Health Studies, Major Professional Aromatherapy in 1999. My focus and training was under Salvatore Battaglia, an industry legend.
Over the years, aromatherapy has appeared in many skincare and fragrance ranges used during my Beauty therapy career.

Aromatherapy has also featured in my client care during pregnancy and delivery. Cancer support care, Stress and anxiety. Health and Well-being. End of life care. Baby and Childrens massage.
Now, my Reiki, meditation, and intuitive work use aromatherapy too.
As a facialist and massage therapist, aromatherapy is always inclusive.
It's been a lifetime of study.
Over the next few weeks, I will review my knowledge, looking for any technical or clinical developments.
Preparing for the year ahead, The Year of the Horse 🐎 (Hold on, it's going to be a fast ride lol).
I have a mirco focus this year but we will keep that top secret shhh.
Onwards and upwards in the professional world.

Introduction to Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is a complementary therapeutic practice that involves the use of essential oils derived from aromatic plants to promote physical, psychological, and emotional well-being. These essential oils are obtained through processes such as steam distillation or cold pressing and contain concentrated bioactive compounds responsible for their characteristic fragrances and potential effects. The practice of using aromatic substances for health-related purposes can be traced back to ancient civilizations, including those of Egypt, China, and India.
In contemporary settings, aromatherapy is applied in clinical, wellness, and home environments as a supportive approach to healthcare. It is commonly used to assist with stress management, relaxation, and enhancement of quality of life. The effects of aromatherapy are thought to occur through both physiological mechanisms, such as absorption through the skin, and neurological pathways, particularly the influence of scent on the limbic system. Although aromatherapy does not replace conventional medical treatment, it is increasingly recognized as a complementary modality that contributes to holistic health practices.
I believe the Aromatherapy plant medicine is a multicultural gift past through my ancestral linage. It is a natural gift that I support with a more formal education pathway.

Batter up! Yes, last few days of the pre-Christmas games! I am working princess hours today, a short shift on the Shiseido counter. I am up early for stretches, breakfast, and the Hokowhitu Farmers Market, then a walk to get ready for my start. People are fascinating! I love the diversity ❤️. I am really excited to share in everyone's version of their personal Christmas experience. It is one of my great skills to communicate with people of all ages and backgrounds. This comes with years of experience in customer service. "Treat people as you would want to be treated, then take it one step up." Today and Sunday will be extra busy. Generally, customers are kind 😇 and patient; a few need to take a chill pill and go sit with a mirror for a while. We have an exceptional security team, so we are always safe. This allows us to relax and focus on the task at hand. Yesterday, I attended the Nutcracker Ballet, a very special Kiwiana performance to a sold-out theater. It was a lovely performance. I have done my Christmas grocery shopping; there were only 20 cars in the car park, perfect! Gratitude for the many people who add joy to my day; I appreciate you. Wish me luck today!

Yes, trying to keep off Santa's Naughty List! The Christmas countdown is on. My new position at Farmers, Shiseido Counter is going well. Today was a full immersion training day with our Auckland Representative and my Counter Manager, lovely Cindy, who has 15 years of brand experience. There were so many special moments to embrace ✨️. I am learning every day. A very special thank you to all the lovely guests who have called in for conversation and hugs; I feel very welcomed and supported. In social circles, Christmas is abundant with a cocktail party, drinks, and nibbles in an incredibly decorative private sanctuary (thank you Kerryn). Coming up: Movie night, The Nutcracker Ballet, and Christmas Carols soon. Tonight I was asked for my ID for wine, and I nearly died laughing. I have invited her to my next 21st birthday party; I feel it's my full commitment to have a 21st every year forward. I hope you're having fun out there. Full graditude to my support team; I cannot thank you enough. Much love and appreciation ### ❤️

Wedding bells are ringing. Blessed to celebrate Nikki and Richard marrying today. It was an honour to be invited as the make-up artist♥️. Nikki looked absolutely stunning (sorry, no photos - bride's privilege to share when she is ready).

Over the years, I have completed thousands of professional makeups for bridal, photoshoots, school balls, awards evenings, birthdays, fashion parades, demonstrations, and more. I first started my journey with Lois Reid when I was 18 years old. She taught me skincare, makeup, colour analysis, wardrobe planning, styling, how to recommend, public speaking, and retailing. With Beverly leading us, we were a formidable leading sales team in New Zealand for years. I then moved into pharmacy and further into beauty therapy business ownership. I've been privileged to work with brands like YSL, Dior, Chanel, Estee Lauder, Relvon, Mac, Alpeh, Declore, Dermologica, Ultra Ceuticals, Joyce Blok, Ginger and Me, O Cosmic, Billion Dollar Brows, and Aroma Associates, and many other brands, now Shiseido♥️. My makeup portfolio has been published in Mindfood Magazine, Hatalk International Magazine, NZ Woman's Weekly, and Digital International Fashion Writers' newspapers.

Today was relaxed, flowing, and very satisfying. I look forward to seeing the photographs of the very special Wedding Day.

Gratitude to the many industry professionals who have invested in my career and myself personally.

I am blessed to celebrate new beginnings. Thank you x

It's my lucky day!
I bumped into Santa this morning.

It's been a fabulous few days meeting my new team. Lots of happy customers, busy preparing for Christmas Day. The time flies, so much to do. Feeling great and confident. I am really happy. Leaving the Plaza today, the Scottish Bag Pipes were playing in the square (how lovely of them to pipe me home). I am lying on the grass at home in the sunshine for grounding, to "calm the farm", breathing deep and then unwind; my tui is singing. Soon I am heading out for the night. It's our final girls' gathering of the year.
It's been a great day.

News Flash career change... Just in case you lost me!
I am super excited to announce my new career change to the Kiwi iconic since 1909, with 59 department stores throughout New Zealand. Yes, it's Farmers, Palmerston North.
Initially, you will find me on the Shiseido counter, but I may also be anywhere in store.
I am excited to join Shiseido as is a leading Japanese beauty company for over 150 years. Recently, they won the top award for the 29th time at the 35th IFSCC Congress 2025 in Cannes, France.
Shiseido as a company has four main areas: Prestige Brands (multi-different designer labels), Premium Brands (multi-different mid brands), Inner Beauty - Health and Wellness, and Life Quality Makeup. It's going to be quite an exciting learning curve.

I visted early this morning to remember ...

Always differcult to hold back the tears.
So many people lost
So many lives changed.
Generations of families and friends remembering ❤️

On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, the guns fell silent.

Join us as we come together to remember and reflect this Remembrance Day, marking the anniversary of the armistice that ended the fighting in World War I.

The service begins at 11am on Tuesday 11 November.

All members of the public are welcome to attend.

Following the service, the Poppy Places streets and sights of significance ceremony will be held at the Globe, recognising new sites named in memory of those who served.

There will be no road closures, but please note that the isite car park will be closed from 10am to 12pm.

NZSL interpretation will be provided during the service and the Poppy Places ceremony to ensure the event is accessible to our Deaf community.

Monday morning Magic!

Its official Forget Me Not Flowers, Alex is official opening Monday 20th Oct at 38 George street, Palmerston North.

Fresh from the market the shop will be bursting with spring flowers and lush foliage.

Alex is an incredible florist pouring her heart and soul into her craft.

I admire Alexs tenacity I am not going to sugar coat the moving process has been an
epic 48 hours.
