I visted early this morning to remember ...

Always differcult to hold back the tears.
So many people lost
So many lives changed.
Generations of families and friends remembering ❤️

On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, the guns fell silent.

Join us as we come together to remember and reflect this Remembrance Day, marking the anniversary of the armistice that ended the fighting in World War I.

The service begins at 11am on Tuesday 11 November.

All members of the public are welcome to attend.

Following the service, the Poppy Places streets and sights of significance ceremony will be held at the Globe, recognising new sites named in memory of those who served.

There will be no road closures, but please note that the isite car park will be closed from 10am to 12pm.

NZSL interpretation will be provided during the service and the Poppy Places ceremony to ensure the event is accessible to our Deaf community.

Monday morning Magic!

Its official Forget Me Not Flowers, Alex is official opening Monday 20th Oct at 38 George street, Palmerston North.

Fresh from the market the shop will be bursting with spring flowers and lush foliage.

Alex is an incredible florist pouring her heart and soul into her craft.

I admire Alexs tenacity I am not going to sugar coat the moving process has been an
epic 48 hours.

You remember moving your house ?
Imagine moving a business...

Behind the scenes no water ?
Just a tad difficult...
Thank you lovely new neighbors for sharing.
We carried buckets of water.
Yes no need for the gym work out.

Its been a mission but the shop looks amazing.

Good News

We are so excited to share that breast screening is now officially being extended nationwide to include women aged up to 74, a change that will save lives through early detection.

We’ve been campaigning for this extension for eight years, knowing that a woman’s risk of breast cancer is actually higher at 70 than it is at 50. This means thousands more women will now have the chance to receive an early diagnosis when breast cancer is most curable.

Nelson woman Rita knows just how important that one extra mammogram can be. After turning 74 last year, she was invited for one more free mammogram, which found stage 1 breast cancer.

“I’d been naïve in thinking I was no longer at risk once screening stopped at 69. I was very lucky mine was caught early. That extra mammogram could be all the difference.”

Every year, around 350 women aged 70–74 are diagnosed with breast cancer in New Zealand. This national roll-out gives more women the chance to detect it early, avoid invasive treatment, and live longer, healthier lives.

Today is a significant milestone. After years of advocacy, we’re so pleased to see New Zealand finally on par with countries like Australia, Canada, France, Sweden and the UK - ensuring more women can access life-saving screening for longer.

Within in our industry apprenticeships have changed.

Next year we involve again.

Currently it is a 4 year apprenticeship before you graduate as a Hairdresser.

Its quite a journey!

Exponential Growth!

To be successful in business or industry you need many skills.

Its like a jigsaw puzzle constantly moving parts until the magic happens ✨️ 💛

Also you need to be a risk taker but with consideration of future proofing.

Understanding market place and future informed predictions (intuition).

Be A great communicator and possess leadership skills.

The list goes on...
Its endless.

Thats the point 👉
It never stops it goes on and on.

This week I pushed myself into the world of
up skilling on a tight timeline.

Beauty Therapy wise up skilling on
Mirco needling, LED light therapy, Frequency Therapy and techniques on advanced facials.

Product knowledge crash learnt 4 new premier professional skincare ranges.

From around the world Paris, France, Japan, and Australia.

To launch a new business model not seen before in this format.

Attending Women's Lifestyle Expo Tauranga
We had goals of customer engagement and retail sales.

Its a ruff less than a 10 seconds window of time to capture a womans attention walking past your stand whilst chatting to a friend.

However I must say we nailed it!!!

We had people queing to see our stand and personal energy.

We smashed recommendations/retail $$

We shocked ourselves with the uptake of future customer commitment.

Whoop whoop!

Even the neighbouring sites were watching and
Commenting our professionalism and skills.

We had fun 😁
We had sore feet
We talked from 10am until 4pm non-stop.
Two days in a row
High energy
Big dreams.
We smashed our goals and it felt great 👍

New and exciting industry changes coming now.

Thank you Kylie for investing and inviting me to have all the fun along side yourself.

Your business will be booming and new beginnings are already in motion.

So looking forward to watching the growth.
