Featuring handmade art creations, inspiring workshops, and artwork for sale, it's a place of creativity and serenity. 🌿✨This week has been a beautiful mixed bag.

Gorgeous sunshine.
Fields of sunflowers.
Deep conversations and soul-nourishing friendship.

And in between all of that… quiet wondering. Planning. Stretching into ideas that feel both exciting and unknown.

This morning I knew exactly what I needed — colour and play.

So I pulled out my Posca markers, Inktense pencils, gouache and Neocolor II. Kept the palette limited. Let the mountains emerge. No pressure. No outcome. Just mark-making, layering, curiosity.

Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is return to play.

Today felt like a gentle remembering of my words for this year:
Playful.
Expansive.

And I can feel both unfolding.

If summer had a love language… this would be it 🌻☀️

Lisa and I spent the most beautiful scorching summer day at Aston Norwood Gardens, wandering through the mini maze surrounded by the tallest, most gorgeous sunflowers.

We packed a picnic (complete with our prettiest tablecloth and teacups, of course) and even brought our paint supplies… which we didn’t end up using because we were too busy soaking up the moment.

Golden fields, warm air, laughter, and the kind of simple joy that fills your cup right up.

Sharing just a tiny glimpse of our adventure 🌻✨

Been a hot minute since a woman’s face wandered onto my page 💫
So… a cheeky 5-minute play with Derwent Inktense pencils happened.

No plan. No overthinking. Just letting the pencils dance and seeing who popped up to say hello.
A little wonky, a little whimsical, very relaxed — exactly how I like it.

This painting began at art club with nothing but a sky — blues drifting into pinks, loose and full of promise.
Today it found its grounding. Dark trees settled in, fields stretched out, wildflowers popped up where they pleased, and a wee cottage quietly made itself at home 🏡🌿

I love how paintings sometimes just wait… until the rest of the story is ready to arrive.

Sunshine kind of days ☀️💛
Great food (at Orient Homewares and Gifts), laughs, and the best kind of creative time.

My gorgeous friend Lisa and I claimed a spot along Oriental Parade today and let our journals come out to play 🎨📓
We made a butterfly shape together, then each took a side and coloured it in — no rules, just flow and fun.

We definitely missed the sparkles and shimmer ✨😉
…but honestly? The joy, connection, and creativity more than made up for it.

More of this please.
More sunshine.
More making.
More moments like these 🦋

New book joy ✨📚
Sketchbook Joy by which has been on my wish list for some time. Katie is such an inspiring artist and I can already feel the playful pages calling my name — I can’t wait to dive in and have a proper creative play 🎨💛

So grateful to Robyn for my Christmas work gift voucher, you knew it would be art book of some kind. Feeling very blessed and very ready to discover new journal ideas✨

🎨 When colours start a conversation…

The other day over on CharlieRae - Inspiring Wellbeing , I asked a simple question:
If your mood had a colour, what would it be? 💛

The answers came back orange, pink, green… and grey 🌈
And I loved how honest and human that mix felt — bright, soft, grounded, and a little cloudy too.

Inspired by the answers I went to my sketchbook and let them bloom, a playful vase of flowers guided by shared colour and collective mood.

It’s a reminder that inspiration is everywhere, especially when we listen 💐
Art doesn’t always start with an idea… sometimes it starts with a question.
