New performance breathing workshop ready to go on the 30th of March at Te Pare Aquatic Centre. This is a hands on and intensive workshop where you will cover:

Breathing Economy
- Increase oxygen uptake
- Increase respiratory muscle strength
- Maintain optimal blood pH

Energy Efficiency
- Increase ventilatory thresholds
- Increase aerobic and anaerobic capacity

Recovery Intra & Post Exercise
- Increase lactate clearing ability
- Manage EPOC effect
- Down shift the nervous system

Mental Capacity
- Improve cognitive ability during exercise
- Increase ability to self-regulate/ manage stress

Kia ora koutou,

we will be running another Breathing Fundamentals workshop on the 30th of April from 8.00am-12.00pm at Te Maru Jiu-Jitsu, Papamoa.

This is a hands on practical workshop where you will learn:

- How to assess your current breathing pattern, identifying dysfunctions and how to correct them through functional breathing mechanics.

-How to engage with your primary breathing muscles, increasing your lung capacity creating more efficient gas exchange in the body

-How to increase your ability to utilise oxygen

-How to regulate your nervous system and increase your resilience to stress. Learn how to apply top-down control.

-How to create coherence, synchronising the bodies systems to allow for optimal physical and mental performance day in and day out.

-How to tailor your own personal breathing practice to suit your needs and identifying the right protocol for every situation.
