I hear this all the time…

“I’d love to come… but I don’t think I’d fit in.”
“I’m not good at yoga.”
“I haven’t travelled much.”
“I don’t know if I’d be able to do it.”

And honestly? I get it. Because stepping outside your comfort zone can feel huge. It’s not really the retreat you’re unsure about… it’s whether you’ll belong there.

But here’s what I want you to know — every single retreat I run is a mix of women just like you.

Some are quiet, some are loud.
Some have done years of yoga, others have never even attempted a downward dog.
Some are seasoned travellers, others are doing something like this for the very first time.

And none of that matters.

Because what they all have in common is this quiet knowing… that they’ve been giving a lot, for a long time… and it’s time to refill their own cup.

There’s something really special that happens when you step away from the day-to-day.
When you’re not being mum, partner, daughter, business owner, employee…

You remember you.

Not the version of you shaped by responsibilities but the vibrant, adventurous, beautiful woman underneath it all… the one who’s still there, just waiting for a bit of space to breathe again.

We laugh (a lot).
Sometimes we cry.
And more than anything… we soften, reconnect, and start to glow again.

So if you’ve been sitting there thinking “that sounds amazing, but I don’t know if it’s for me…”

Maybe this is your little nudge.

Because it might be more for you than you realise 💛

I’m not on the outside of this… I’m in it too.

Our eldest leaving home cracked something open in me.

Not in a bad way but in that honest, confronting way life sometimes does.

Because when everything shifts you realise how much of yourself you’ve given to everyone else.

And I know how easy it is to feel a little untethered in that space.

But I also know how to move through it without losing your light.

That’s the difference.

I’ve done the work.
I live it daily.
And without blowing my own trumpet the fact is I have a real gift for holding space for other women as they find their way back to themselves.

✨ That’s exactly what my Bali retreats are

Real conversations
Real connection
A space where you don’t have to hold it all together

I’ve got one final spot open for June (it was full, but life happens)

If you’re feeling that pull — trust it.

Send me a message. Aroha mai CJ 💛

Joshy, our eldest has left home for a new job and life in Tāupo. I've watched friends send their kids off to spread their wings and now it's our turn. Like many aspects of motherhood you don't really know what each stage will feel like until you fiinally go through it yourself. Saying goodbye to him as he headed off was brutal for me, the heart ache is a real thing! It's a strange feeling to know that this part of motherhood is coming to an end... sure I'll always be his Mum but it's time to let him go...

It has taken a few weeks for me to be more comfortable with the fact that he isn't here, there is a sadness that this chapter of him living with us is over but there is also such a sense of accomplishment that we have raised this man who is stunning in all the ways that are important.

So for you māmā's out there still in the trenches with the little ones, I know it's hard, I know you're tired and pulled so thin but soak it up and really enjoy the simple moments while there are plenty. Sniff those soft little necks (ok that might sound a bit weird 🤣) and don't wish these days away. And for those of you māmā's already walking this path ahead of me I'm always so grateful for your support and wisdom.

I am flipping my sadness at his departure into pride for his independence and excitement for what the future holds. I will make sure to treasure time with our other 3 as they also will begin to fly from the nest in the next few years and soon our chaotic household will become very quiet.

It's so important that we evolve as our children do. That we find more things to do that light us up, keep us engaged and inspired and we still continue to find our purpose and excitment in this life.

I tell myself this and I also say it to you "You have already been through so many different stages from birth till now, be proud of what you have achieved so far and look forward to the future with excitement for this next phase will be as fullfilling and happy as you make it"

Just when it was all filled up… one space has become available.

And maybe, just maybe this was meant to be for you.

My June Soul Tide Bali Retreat had reached capacity, and then this final spot opened up. And to be honest, it’s often the women who are a little spontaneous… a little adventurous… who end up saying yes around now and having the most incredible experience.

If at the start of this year you promised yourself you’d slow down… reset… put yourself first then this is your moment to honour that.

No more “someday.”
No more waiting for the perfect time.

This is your sign.

A week to step out of the noise and into something deeper - clarity, connection, and space to breathe again, all held in the magic of Bali.

Sometimes the best decisions aren’t the ones we plan for months… they’re the ones we feel and trust.

If you feel that pull, follow it.

Message me for details before this final place is gone ✨

☀️ 1 room left – Nusa Lembongan, Bali 12-18 June 🌊

Hi lovelies!

I have one final room on my June Bali retreat… and I keep thinking there’s someone out there who’s been hovering, wondering if they should go.

Maybe you’ve been saying lately:
“I just need some time out.”
“I feel a bit stretched.”
“I want to feel like myself again.”

This retreat is for that version of you.

We’ll start with a soft landing night in Sanur, then head over to Nusa Lembongan for five nights of slowing everything right down.

No pressure.
No expectations.
Nothing you have to do.

Just space to breathe, rest, and gently reconnect with yourself.

Think ocean swims, beautiful nourishing food, massages, meaningful chats (or quiet if that’s what you need), and simple, gentle yoga - all suitable for every level, even if you’ve never done it before.

I’ve held space for over 50 women in Bali over the years and what I see again and again is how powerful it is when women give themselves permission to step away, even just for a little while.

A few details:
– beachfront villa stay
– all breakfasts + 2 dinners
– yoga, meditation & connection
– island experiences
– small, supportive group

The final room can be your own space, or shared with someone (or two) you’d love to travel with.

$4300 NZD single / $3800 pp twin / $3500 pp triple

If you feel even a little pull reading this comment “info” and I’ll flick you the details or DM me, always happy to chat, no pressure 🩵

Lately I’ve been noticing how many conversations are circling around the same feeling which is how the world feels a little unsettled and it’s shaping how we make decisions. I feel it too.

After many years of running retreats, one thing I’ve learned is that wellbeing comes from listening… to ourselves, and to what’s happening around us. That’s why every Moksha retreat is guided by care, common sense, and experience.

I’ve made the decision to place the September Ubud retreat on hold until 2027. Not because retreats aren’t important - but because I believe in moving with the flow of world events rather than pushing against them. I’m never afraid to pause, adjust, or change plans when it feels like the right thing to do for everyone involved.

The retreats that are running have been chosen thoughtfully, with safety and ease of travel front of mind and I stand fully behind them.

✨ The Deep Exhale – Papamoa Beach (8 May)
🌿 Soul Tide Nusa Lembongan, Bali — one room remaining
🌊 She By The Sea Fiji Retreat — filling beautifully

Sometimes stepping away, even briefly, is what helps us come back steady again.

I’d love to know — what are you needing most right now: rest, connection, or a little inspiration? 🤍

If it's a little bit of all of the above then you may enjoy a 1:1 session in The Haven or perhaps you would like to give yourself the gift of a Retreat.

Check out what's on offer here and feel free to reach out for more info www.moksha.co.nz/retreats

Remember we are all in this together ❤️
Much love CJ x
