5 controversial opinions I have on the beauty industry as a beauty therapist of 15 years 😘

1. The modern day beauty industry thrives on women’s insecurities and societal pressure to reach some illusionary version of “perfect”. This is not okay.

2. Women are hairy. All types of hairy. Some of us more or less than others. That doesn’t mean we are wrong or ugly.
Hair removal is a preference…or not.
Don’t let the world bully your body hair.

3. Wrinkles are NORMAL and actually an honour some never get.
Also NOT something that’s wrong with us.

4. Self care is not punishment for not being perfect but something that only truly flows from a place of acceptance and a choice to nourish, and express not obsess.

5. Beauty does bring light to world.
Perfectionism does not.

Here’s a wee bit about me and She.

I’m a beauty therapist with 14+ years experience, trained internationally, and also an Intuitive Reiki Master and Ta***ic Practitioner.

My work supports women to feel safe to receive nourishment, to explore self-expression through beauty, and to reconnect with their yin energy ,
the softer, intuitive, creative part of ourselves.

She Beauty is a home-based space created with intention, where beauty is not about fixing or hiding, but about curiosity, play, and coming home to yourself.

I’m also a solo mama to two boys, and I’ve built this business around my little family while continuing the work I love.
