For the first time, an international trial has proved that exercise is a lifeline for those recovering from colorectal cancers.
The randomised controlled trial, verified in the New England Journal of Medicine, shows beyond doubt that exercise is essential to reduce cancer recurrence and improve survival for people recovering from colon cancer. Following the study, exercise coaches are being touted as the new standard of care for survivors.
