Hi Golden Bay Equine people!!

Im happy to announce that Greg Jamieson Golden Bay ConTact C.A.R.E NZ,s first Equine ConTact C.A.R.E Foundation Course is to be held on the weekend of April 18th - 19th 2026 at Golden Bay RDA grounds in Takaka.

This course is designed for complete beginners as well as as people continuing their Foundation training in Equine ConTact C.A.R.E.
You need no prior experience to attend.

"ConTact C.A.R.E. Equine Foundation Courses are a practical, hands on approach to an effective and efficient way of working with horses to relieve pain, stress and tension in the equine body, and for those who are interested in developing a understanding of ConTact C.A.R.E Flinchlock Release.

The course aims to give a solid basic foundation for what ConTact C.A.R.E. is, how it works, and the practical skills to find and release Flinchlocked bone in relation to horses.

It also covers ConTact C.A.R.E’s benefits in First Aid situations, and the SIMPLE, SAFE and EFFECTIVE techniques to release pressure.

Whether just starting out with ConTact C.A.R.E, looking for an understanding of the method, or an animal or human health professional interested in a new approach to working with impact injuries to complement their clinical work. The Equine Foundation Course provides a safe, relaxed, comfortable and supportive environment in which to learn"

A former International NZ rep Showjumper and Professional Riding Coach and Horse Starter with a lifetime of experience in all facets of Equestrian, I also bring over 10 years of experience in the Practice of Equine ConTact C.A.R.E as well as having run CC Foundation courses throughout NZ , Australia and Europe.

I now live in Collingwood and am happy to share my knowledge and experience with any Equestrian in Golden Bay thats interested.

This course runs both days from 9 am - 4 30 pm.
You may attend with your own horse or without a horse at no extra cost.
Total cost for the weekend is $400.00
$20 per person will be donated to Golden Bay RDA.

I am also available again in Golden Bay from April for any Equine treatments along with Canine and Human treatments as well.

After a very successful weekend of teaching Equine and Canine Courses at Dragon Equestrian in Manakau recently, I then had several busy clinic days in Paraparaumu and Dragon ( as well as Dannevirke & Central Hawkes Bay) catching up with my human clients as well as being out and about for the horses & dogs too.
This past trip marked my last day working from my clinic space at 25 Hinemoa Street in Paraparaumu.

I will be working in the future from a new shared space at 54 Seaview Road Paraparaumu Beach along with Georgina Nawrocki ConTact C.A.R.E for all of the clients in that area.
I plan to continue my clinic work from Dragon Equestrian in Manakau as well bi-monthly throughout 2026.

My next visit to Kapiti/ Horowhenua area will be from 18th - 30th March including my next Human Foundation Course at The Art and Living Space in Pauatahanui on the weekend of March the 28-29th .

Im now back in my beautiful Golden Bay hometown of Collingwood after a busy couple of weeks working in Kapiti and surrounding area's of the North Island.

I will be available throughout the rest of February in Golden Bay , at my clinic space in Takaka for Human treatments as well as out and about the Bay, for horses and dogs.

Over the past 3 years I have had over 300 students attend my Foundation Courses. 🧑‍🎓👩‍🎓
Many of them are either beginning , partway through , or have already completed their Practitioner training to become fully qualified CC Practictioners in their own right with practices of their own.
Others have chosen to use their Foundation training to help develop their skills and deep understanding of how they can help , by simply letting the injury show them the way , to surprise even themselves as to how affective and how much help they can be to their animals !!

There will only be 3 of these courses ( Equine & Canine) held this year 2026 , at Dragon Equestrian Levin and the January Course is the only one this summer.

If you have never completed a ConTact C.A.R.E Foundation Course before you will need to attend the Equine Course prior to attending the Canine on the Monday.
If you have done at least one CC Foundation course of any kind , you can attend the Canine without needing to do the Equine Course first.
You may also just attend the Equine Course regardless of whether you have done any courses prior.

There is wonderful facilities and accommodation available onsite at our venue Dragon Equestrian Jump Park, for both people with their own horses
(including the people themselves, both shared and individually) and also dogs if you are planning on bringing both for the 3 days.
You may attend both courses either with your own animal/ animals or without ( horses or dogs).
The course cost remains the same.
Their are small extra accomodation fees for horses and people ( please ask) for those wishing to stay onsite.
If you do not have your own animals to bring or feel they would not be suitable to travel or to learn from, then we can provide animals you can work with safely.

I welcome younger students as well.

I had a great day in the clinic on Monday treating a mix of Canines and Humans and also combined treatments.
Did you know that as well as having a deep emotional supportive connection to your Dog, which Im sure most of you have , you also have a physical one too ?
That often the pressure we find your dog carries can also be found in your structure as well.
It is literally how you physically balance the relationship between you two.
This is particularly apparent when your dog is not receptive to strangers as they cannot support and are unaware of the balance required as the owner can.
Your dog feels unsafe with unfamiliar people.
If this is a sudden new behavior it will likely be injury related and not because your dog suddenly doesn't like other people or places.
I can treat your dog and yourself as individuals and then as a collective unit to improve results for you both.
An example of reciprocal pressure is seeing a little dog walking along the beach with a slight limp and seeing the owner walking beside with the same limp.

Food for thought & my thoughtful share for Tuesday.

This was Divas first treatment with me and she loved it and worked instinctively with me to provide the best result.
My treatment demands me to find and meet my client in the same supportive balance, to " ACCEPT WHAT IS " and support that partnership both into " NOW" and then out of pressure of injured shape to allow natural balance to be restored " SEE THE GOOD "

It's the same with Humans and Equine as well.
This is why your treatments are so comfortable and pain free. And why animals particularly love their sessions.
It just feels good !!
