Welcome to Kapiti Hot Yoga, we teach the original Hot Yoga series, 26+2 - made popular by Bikram Yoga. Made up of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises, the therapeutic hatha yoga sequence is suitable for all ages and abilities. Each posture stretches and strengthens specific muscles, ligaments and joints to give you a full body workout. Additionally, the sequence systematically moves freshly oxygenated blood throughout your body, stimulating the organs, glands and nerves, restoring all systems to a healthier working order and giving you a greater sense of well-being. Practised in a hot room, the heat is designed to warm up your body, providing a safer environment in which to perform the postures and stretch your body. The combined heat and humidity also promotes sweating which in turn flushes toxins from your body.
