We are delighted to share the highlights from the Hora Te Pai Health Services Charitable Trust Annual General Meeting, held at Whakarongotai Marae on Sunday, 9 November 2025.

We were extremely humbled by the presence of our marae trustees, kuia, kaumātua, iwi, whānau and patients who attended. Ātiawa nō runga i te rangi – kei te mihi. The hui was followed by a beautiful hākari, lovingly prepared by our ahi kaa, Te Whānau Kearney. Kua p**a ā pito. Huri ake ngā mihi ki ngā ringa rōreka o Te Aorewa.

It is our absolute privilege to present this year’s Annual report on behalf of Hora Te Pai Charitable Trust, for the year ending 30 June 2025. This year has been one of growth, innovation and renewal — a time where our kaupapa tuku iho (our inherited values) have guided us through both challenges and opportunities. As you read this year’s Te Pūrongo a Tau 2025, we invite you to do so with curiosity and openness.

The key highlights in this report speak to the dedication of our kaimahi, whose love for people, sense of service and integrity sit at the heart of all our achievements. This spirit is continually strengthened by the unwavering support of our Mana Whakahaere, the Board of Trustees; Daphne Luke (Chair), Kiri Parata (Deputy Chair), Cassidy Pidduck, Dr Chris Fawcett, Vanessa Eldridge.

To our whānau, iwi, partners and funders; e rere ana ngā mihi ki a koutou katoa.

This is a kaupapa Māori health promotion day dedicated to life-saving kōrero and screening.

📍 Grace Hall, Impact Hub – Tongariro Street, Paraparaumu

We’ve opened a space for whānau to come together, connect, and access screening tools that can make a real difference. We’ll be focusing on bowel, prostate, testicular, breast, and HPV-related cancers—with kōrero from health experts, lived experiences, and screening options available on the day.

What’s On:

* Whakatau and kōrero with screening leaders
* Breakout wānanga for tāne and wāhine
* PSA blood tests (Prostate screening)
* HPV self-swabs (Cervical screening)
* Kai, info packs, giveaways, and open Q+A

Tamariki are welcome!

We’ll have a supervised space just for them—so māmā and pāpā can fully take part in the day.

NOTICE OF HUI-Ā-TAU 2025 | ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Hora Te Pai Health Services warmly invites you to our Hui-ā-Tau (Annual General Meeting).

Where: Whakarongotai Marae | 2/4 Mahara Place, Waikanae
When: Sunday 9th November 2025
Time: 10AM-12PM with kai to follow

We especially welcome the presence of our kuia, kaumātua, iwi, and hapū, alongside enrolled patients and professionals from the health and social sectors, to join us in this important hui. The hui will be followed by a Christmas luncheon served in Te Aorewa, Whakarongotai.
