20/12/2024
As we head toward the end of 2024, we recognise that life isn’t always easy. Sometimes we feel like we've achieved a lot, but if we've felt like we've just gotten through the year, that's OK too.
Let's appreciate our small wins and keep prioritising our mental health during this time.
✨ Be sure that you are being kind to yourself. That your inner voice is talking to you like your best friend would. We all deserve this.
✨ Take space to unwind and do the things that bring you joy, whether it be a walk on the beach, listening to music, or playing a Christmas game with your family or friends.
✨ If you're spending the holidays solo, you're not alone! While it may be less than ideal, try to see it as an opportunity to do all the things you enjoy, without needing to compromise.
✨ If you're finding Christmas demands too much, learn the power of a polite "no", and don't be afraid to ask those around you for help.
✨Don't spend too much money- only give what you can afford. And if you have a bit extra, sometimes the spirit of giving is a great way to get those fuzzy feelings too.
Most of all, if it's a tough time, take a pause, keep going when you're ready. There will be plenty of opportunities for change after the holidays, even if you don't see them now.
Here at Beating the Blues, we wish you a safe and peaceful holiday, with as many small moments of joy as possible.
Sending good holiday vibes from the Beating the Blues Team
