We can laugh (and cry) about how ridiculously accurate these cravings are but at the end of the day, we are taking back control.

First step: identify the underlying need. Is it physical, habitual or emotional?

In case you hadn’t realised, 2025 is basically here. Ergo, END OF YEAR REFLECTIONS.

Taking some time to 1. Actually remember what happened this year and, 2. Write them down, fills my little heart to the brim. There is so much to be grateful for, and pausing to evaluate and celebrate is a beautiful thing.

Highlights of the year for me include:
⭐️ growing a healthy baby
⭐️ completing our first Baby-Making Basics course. Too much fun! 🍆
⭐️ mumma to a toddler 💕 when you discover your baby now has words, a sense of humour, and a delightful personality (toilet training tho…🫠🫠🫠)
⭐️ pushing myself to the edge of comfort, willing myself to try new things and cease with the self-sabotage
⭐️ Savannah Paige 🥰 the sweetest addition, the best birth, a gracious baby, in no hurry to do anything 🙏🏻
⭐️ Laura coming on board to give Oh Goodness! a helping hand. Not only a great friend, but an amazing dietitian and confidant.
⭐️ I got into Formula 1 in a biiig way this year, much to my husband’s surprise (and delight!) Threw him a F1 shindig for his birthday, probably more for me than him 🤭
⭐️ doing more of what we love - hiking, camping, overnight trips, making new friends and memories 🥹

Anyone else have weird cycle lengths, unwanted facial hair and a generous amount of tummy “softness”?

I got tested for high androgens but they came back normal so I thought I couldn’t have PCOS (my ovaries were never looked at).

Knowing what I know now, I definitely have/had PCOS, as so many of my clients do. Many of them are even lean, with regular periods, and yet still having trouble conceiving because of other PCOS signs.

A recent systematic review and meta analysis showed that a few different types of eating…
+ reduces insulin resistance
+ reduces the amount of male-type hormones
+ regulates the menstrual cycle
+ restores ovulation
+ increases pregnancy success

These different types of eating were…
+ the Mediterranean diet
+ a low GI index/load diet
+ a low carb diet (with 40-45% total daily energy from carbs)
+ a high protein diet (with 25-30% total daily energy from protein)

A quiz for a bit of Friday fun!

Whether we're normally the type to make plans to the nth detail or we're more "I'm-so-relaxed-I'm-horizontal", when it comes to trying for a baby, the fact remains:
