From Gaia to Gaia!

Yesterday we used the Tithe of the last couple of months for getting more Native trees in the Earth.

Do you know this Plant?
I ve being called to her this whole year.

She is called Wormwood, or Ajenjo, in my native land.

Back in the day it was planted in the entrance of houses or close to windows to keep bad spirits out of the place.

It is known for improving digestion, smitimulating the production of gastric juices, has antinflamatory qualities and is used for cleansing the parasites of your digestive system.

Just picking some leaves and making a te with them once a day is enough.
Don't leave leaves for very long in the cup, they have a very strong flavour!

What a nice day working in the gardens.

In this case we put some medium size harakeke in the ground, after covering the bed with cupboard and mulch it. In that way w**ds will be under control and we will avoid future soil degradation.

After planting we fed the babies with the best we had, dark worm juice...Not delicious but very nutritious! Oh lala.

Mulching your fruit trees.
Today we enjoyed making sure that this fruit trees are well nourished and hydrated.

Gaias advice:
Make sure that you cover the soil around your fruit trees before the hard hit of the summer sun.
Add some of your best compost, cover with a double layer of cupboard and some of the amazing abundant local mulch . (Or make your own :)
Remember that the relationship with your fruit trees is a Love story. The more you give them, the more you will receive. Give them, from the heart. For them offering big sweet fruits is their way to say thank you. :)

Kikuyu Compost.

Did you know how easy is to compost your kikuyu and use it in your gardens??

Just leave it in a plastic bag for half year, On the side, under your house, wherever.
And half year later you will.be very surprised of the dark matter that you will find there. :)
full of nitrogen and ready for your veggies!
Without any risk of regrowing.;)

Hello Whanau!

Christmas is a time to remember that being alive means to be in service for others and our community, and I am soooo happy to call your atention to this great opportunity to help in a nice project! :)

I work as a Nurse and I know the great healing power of the waters and the ocean. One day I realized that there is people who can not swim, and that living in an Island, can not go in to the waters. Some people do not go in the sea for years and years.
Once we see a probllem, we prepare an action.
in Gaia, we started to save one tenth of our income in order to achieve what is about to happen...

What is this about?
Be ready in the beach one day every week during the summer, avialable for people who can't swim without being assisted, ready with a special wheelchair that goes in to the sand...and floats!

What we need?

-Gaia has saved 2 k so far for this, and after speaking with suppliers, they offer me a sample that they use in expositions and is new, for 4k. (Usually is 6k). So we need another 2000 $ :)

- at least 3 or for strong people for assisting when transferring to the chair , one during the swim .
