Jin Shin Jyutsu for Animals New Zealand

Jin Shin Jyutsu for Animals New Zealand JSJ is a simple way to connect with your animal, help them thru trauma, illness or surgery. It uses pressure points held in a sequence and is easy to apply

Jin Shin Jyutsu® is an ancient art that works with the bodies subtle energy flows to restore and maintain physical harmony and mental emotional well being. By gently holding specific locations in combined sequences along these energy pathways you can facilitate the release of stress and tension as well as unlocking the body’s innate ability to heal naturally. Part 10 – A few simple holds to finish

When things need to move;
Cross hands and hold 1s
This helps to bring movement – e.g. blood, fluids, food to go down, emotions etc.
Accident/Injury;
Hold same side 15 and the injury site (or near as possible)
Surgery – lots of 15 and same side 6 (and spleen flow)
All these holds and flows can be used for your pet or yourself.
Also the 11/25 and 11/15 holds shown on an earlier post helps everything on the side of the body you use it on...
E.g. sit or stand on your animal friendsLeft side and place your left hand (LH) on their left 11 and your right hand on their left 25, then left 15 to help the left side body. Swap sides and hands to help the right side body.

Finally love is important, love is everything but to harmonize the world we must first harmonize ourselves, so try the flows on yourself or just hold fingers.
Love breaks through all barriers.
Have fun...

Part 9.
Here is the last flow in the sequence of the 3 organ flows.
3. Bladder flow - Elimination
Helps all elimination and balance issues (including mental emotional balance), all bladder issues (it strengthens and tones the bladder). Great for any back projects, diarrhoea (right flow) and constipation (left flow).

SEQUENCE
Left Flow
Stand or sit on the left side of animal.
LH on L 12
RH on L 25
RH on L 8
RH on L 16
RH on L little toe
Right Flow – change hands and side - this is consistent with all flows so you can help both sides of the body.

With these 3 flows you have a way to help everything.
Left flow for more left side issues and right flow for more right side issues. But in the long run whenever you help one side you will always be helping the other.

Part 8.
Here is the second flow which is a digestion specialist and can be used for any digestion issues. The digestive system starts in the mouth and finishes with large intestine and a**s so any issues anywhere there. Its also about mental digestion so if your animal friend or yorself are having trouble digesting your world or 'the world' this is a great flow
2. Stomach flow - Digestion
Use for digestive, sinus, bloat, colic, appetite and weight projects, also helps anxious, nervous and skittish animals
This is a long flow and can be shortened if the animal has had enough. There is no ‘wrong way’ in JSJ – just using the first few steps will set the flow in motion.
Some animals are uncomfortable when you hold SEL 21 (when treating my cat I often rub her left ear while holding 21 – be creative and if the flow proves too long remove some of the steps to make it shorter.
There are several ways to do this flow. I find this best if the animal is standing but it can also be done if they are lying down but the hand position are different. If you have the Mary Burmeister self help books follow the steps for your animal friend if they are lying down.

SEQUENCE for standing
Left flow
Stand or sit on the left side of animal or stand a little over them as you go through the flow them.
1. LH on R21 (I often rub there face while doing this hold)
RH on L 22
2. RH moves to L 14
3. RH moves to L 23
4. RH moves to R 14
5. LH moves to L14 and RH goes to L High 1 (just above 1) both hands move in this step.
6. RH on R Low 8 (just below 8)
7. RH on second toe of Left back foot
As mentioned this flow may be a little difficult so you can just use the first step or even the last step 8 and little toe as a quickie.

Part 7
The next set of sequences or flows are 3 simple flows that can be used whenever you feel your animal friend needs them.
I will post one this week and follow up with the next two in the following post so you can have time to try them at a slower pace.

1. Spleen flow - ENERGISER
This is a great flow; it is useful to do for an animal that is soon to have surgery or has suffered any kind of abuse. Great for the worrier.
It energizes the entire body, aids the lymphatic and nervous system, helps red & white blood cells so is good for staff and strep infections. It is also helpful for allergies and allergic reactions.

This flow is more easily done when your animal friend is lying down.
Right Flow
Sit at your animal friends back with their right side facing you and their head to your left.
1. LH (left hand) on coccyx
RH (right hand) on R (right) 5
2. RH only moves to their L (left) 14
3. LH only moves to R 13
4. LH only moves to L 22

Reverse hands to work on the left side of the animal.

Hi again, how did you go using the Main Central flow as I mentioned It is also a nice to use on yourself and by using the flows on ourselves we become calmer and more centred and this calms our animal friends.
The Main Central flow harmonizes the entire body system. We can also harmonize ourselves by holding our fingers and palm. Each finger helps an attitude and different systems in the body. Holding fingers seems simple but it’s very dynamic.

Part 6 - Basic flows
Hi there how did the connecting flow go? The next flow in the basic flows is the The Main Central this flow harmonizes everything in the body; so you can use it for any projects big or small and it can be applied daily for bigger projects.
Great for any spinal, hormonal or endocrine condition, also good to use before and after surgery.
If you look further down in the posts you will find this flow and a video of the flow being given.
SEQUENCE
Stand or sit on the left side of animal.
1. Left Hand (LH) on center top of head (LH stays on center top of head throughout flow)
Right Hand (RH) on center 12 (center back of neck)
2. RH moves to center scapula (center 11, 3,10, 9).
(These points can be held individually or together depending on size of the animal).
3. RH moves to center 23
4. RH moves to base of tail (coccyx)

Hold each step until a rhythmic synchronized pulsation is felt under the fingertips of both hands before moving RH to the next step.
For animals in good health doing the MCV quick version once weekly is usually enough. For animals with “projects”, applying the MCV more often is sometimes needed.

This flow can also be used on ourselves daily, please see the earlier post from June 7th/2019 below which gives the chart and information for using the Main Central flow on yourself.

Part 5 – Basic flows
Hi again, now you have had the time to familiarise yourself and practise each of the SELs we will look at some basic flows.
1. Connecting / centering flow
This flow is a great flow to use to initially connect with an animal.
It brings abundance and limitless life force and helps an animal to feel safe in the world. It helps them change their experience of life.
It also helps breathing, coughs, allergies, fertility, pregnancy, to learn new routines and it is great for animals that have been abused, neglected or abandoned.

Part 4
The Safety Energy Locks (SELs).
There are 26 SELs on the left side of the body and 26 on the right side. As you begin to get familiar with the points you will start to feel that you are in the place that you need to be.
Find a comfortable place and just start with a SEL shown on the chart.
Safety Energy Locks (SELs) 6 / 7 are difficult to place on an animal chart, explore with your hands, 6 is deep in the sole of the paw and 7 is located on the hanging or dew claw area. Some dogs find hind-leg work difficult and won’t let you go there unless they are relaxed or know you well, especially traumatised or injured dogs. Don’t give up if the animal is uncomfortable with one area; use a SEL higher up the leg or a FLOW the dog will accept until they are more comfortable.
The SELs each have their own messages, actions and help.
Below is a very basic chart each SEL has many more functions but this is all you will need to start.
1 Helps ALL movement projects, leg projects, chocking, constipation.
2 Increases life force, growth, optimism, general wellbeing, wisdom.
3 Immunity specialist - for bugs, bacteria, bad thinking and fevers.
4 Harmonizes emotional upsets and all breathing projects.
5 Calms the mind, takes away fears.
6 For all balance projects.
7 Helps all brain functions, heart functions, brings mental focus.
8 Helps rhythm, balance, body temperature, reproductive system and muscles
9 Helps foot projects, helps dissolve solidification in the body.
10 Brings vitality and abundance, helps voice, knees, breathing.
11 Hold for all physical pain, helps us let go.
12 Helps stubbornness, wilfulness, addictions, helps release anaesthesia.
13 The fertility specialist - helps any fertility projects.
14 Helps sleep projects, eating disorders and digestion.
15 Hold after surgery, it speeds the healing.
16 Breaks down old patterns, helps scar tissue.
17 Relaxes the mind and calms nerves.
18 Any personality functions that need harmonising - hold the 18s.
19 Helps brings you into your own power and authority, no more victim consciousness.
20 Clears head, eyes and ears, great for memory.
21 Good for all weight and digestion projects.
22 For fears, allergies, environmental pollution, panic attacks and to be adaptable.
23 Balances blood chemistry.
24 For overwhelm, frustration and chaos, brings peace.
25 Quietly and calmly regenerates - great for fatigue.
26 Helps lymph system.
If you want to work with your pet you can use this list to choose which points to hold; simply hold the points for a few minutes or as long as the animal will let you. OR you can use the basic flows
SEL CHART
The points shown are on both sides of the body and are the same for a cat, dog and larger animals like pig, goats etc. For larger animals like horses the flows can be tailored so you can reach.
Try a few holds and later we will explore some simple flows.

01/12/2021

Part 3 – APPLICATION
When using the flows or sequences you will hold two Safety Energy Locks (SELs) or points together, then one hand will move to the next step one at a time.
As you touch the SELs you can begin to feel the pulse, you don’t need to press, push or massage, gentle touch is all that’s needed. Wait for the pulses to synchronise and then move one hand to the next step. If you don’t feel the pulses synchronise (or at all) to begin with then move on after a minute or so (there is no rush and if you feel you need to stay longer do so).
This is all the knowledge you need to use this gentle art of harmonising for your beloved animal companion.

Don’t be concerned you ‘have it wrong”, there is no wrong way; each SEL is the size of the being’s palm, under pad of their paw, hoof etc. Even if you are a bit off mark it will still be helping. For small animals such as birds I find it easier to just use a 10/13 hold or a quickie Main Central Flow which are both explained on previous posts.

Animals are amazing they don’t impose anything on you, they allow you to be in the present moment unless your mind is really burdened but even then, they can bring you into the present for just a moment.
It's so easy to love animals because we can look at them without judgement or imposing interpretation on them. We connect to them more as consciousness.

In the next instalment we will look at the Safety Energy Locks (points) and after that some simple flows you can start to use straight away.

Part 2 The TREATMENTS
Jin Shin Jyutsu is wonderfully simple; you can use the flows which will be supplied or simply hold a particular safety energy lock (SEL) to help. Animals are lovely to work with, they will often show you what to do if you watch and listen, some may even nod off while you treat them.
Animals don’t need long and they will let you know when they have had enough.
So, to start with just use short sessions 5 – 20 minutes (max 45 minutes) weekly.
If you are working with a project, you can treat daily and for very ill animals 5 – 10 mins 3 times per day.
Follow the above guidelines but be the artist. Design what you feel will help, while always listening to the animal, they will guide you.
Rule of thumb - the simpler the treatment the better.

Hi, welcome to my first self-help class online…
This class will be similar to what I give in a hands-on self-help class which usually lasts about 3 hours and covers a brief introduction to Jin Shin Jyutsu for your animal and yourself, the safety energy locks and their locations, some simple flows and how to apply them.

Part 1 – INTRODUCTION – What is Jin Shin Jyutsu
Jin Shin Jyutsu (JSJ) was originally used for people, but over the years and especially in more recent years it has been used to help our animal friends.
It is simple yet dynamic…
Jin Shin Jyutsu (pronounced “jin shin jitsoo) is the ART of harmonizing the bodies energy, thus facilitating the bodies’ inherent ability to heal itself. It gives you a way to help your animal (and yourself) no matter what’s going on.
JSJ utilizes 26 Safety Energy Locks (SELs) or points on each side of the body and these points held in sequence or individually stimulate the circulation of energy pathways in the body.
Sharing JSJ with your animal companion (or any animal) is a deeply rewarding experience. Animals are usually open and receptive and respond well.
JSJ can be used for young animals to settle them or for older animals that have health issues or to just bring more vitality into their daily life. It’s great for animals that have been adopted or rescued and have suffered a hard, stressful life. It is also a great way to help and animal that is passing.

Animals are not lesser than us, they have just chosen to participate differently, our lives would be more difficult without them. Many HUmans don't yet act effectively or responsibly in emotional situations. Until we master this animals work with us on unconscious levels and help keep our emotions and thus physicality in balance but they also have their own evolutionary process and so we work in partnership with them; a co-evolutionary relationship. Jin Shin Jyutsu is wonderful for animals and also for HUmans, to help us live more fully, and as we do this we help our animal friends harmonize and evolve. For this reason I have included a simple flow for you to use on yourself. Your animal will also benefit as you work on yourself. This flow is called the Main Central Vertical flow and harmonizes the mind, nervous system, digestion, warms cold legs and much, much more. Sit quietly with your animal companion and try it.
