โ€œBeginner,โ€ โ€œintermediate,โ€ and โ€œadvancedโ€
reflect how well you understand and perform the movement.

Beginner exercises will build Centering, concentration, control while learning breath work.

Advanced work requires the same but with greater precision and flow.

Itโ€™s not the movement that changes.
Itโ€™s how you perform it ๐Ÿ˜ƒ.

Often I take my clients back to the basics which isnโ€™t going backwards, it's recentering!
Itโ€™s how one improves.

Remember it's not how fast or how many, it's about control, quality, flow and precision. Its Contrology ๐Ÿ˜Š.

"Sometimes the most powerful muscles are hidden, silently shaping not only how we move, but how we feel and experience life."

Most people are unaware of the psoas muscle, sometimes called the โ€œmuscle of the soul,โ€ despite its profound influence on movement, posture, and even emotional well-being. Stretching from the lower spine to the legs, this deep core muscle plays a critical role in stabilizing the pelvis, supporting spinal alignment, and enabling walking, running, and bending.

Biologically, the psoas connects the lumbar vertebrae to the femur, acting as a bridge between the upper and lower body. It is deeply involved in maintaining posture, coordinating balance, and supporting the diaphragm for breathing. When healthy and flexible, it allows fluid movement and efficient motion.

Beyond physical function, the psoas has been linked to emotional and mental health. Chronic tension in this muscle can contribute to stress, anxiety, and even a sense of heaviness in the body. Conversely, mindful stretching, yoga, or targeted movement can release tension, promoting relaxation and a feeling of openness in the body. This connection between structure and emotion is why it is often referred to as the โ€œmuscle of the soul.โ€

Understanding the psoas encourages a holistic view of wellness. Physical health, posture, and emotional balance are interconnected, and caring for this deep core muscle supports both body and mind. Awareness of its role can improve movement efficiency, reduce pain, and enhance overall vitality.
