Hi all
From 1st February some patients with stable, long-term conditions will be eligible to get prescriptions that last up to 12 months for some medications.
A 12-month prescription will not be clinically appropriate for all people. Prescribers will use their clinical judgement to decide what is clinically safe and appropriate for each individual.
Eligible people will be required to have a yearly in-person review with their prescriber.
Pharmacies can still only dispense a maximum three month supply or six months for oral contraceptives as they do currently. Medication repeats will need to be collected from the same pharmacy.
There is no change to the duration of supply for controlled drugs.

Plimmerton Medical Centre is proud to support HUHANZ again this year with a pet food drive 🐾🎄

HUHA will soon be overrun with kittens and puppies and need specific food for them. We are gratefully accepting donations of any kitten and puppy food or tinned dog food. These can be dropped into the practice before 23 December.

Sadly, Dr Jordan Singh left us in June to continue travelling. We have Dr Kiri Renssen and Dr John Rowland providing cover until our new permanent GP, Dr Josefina Laroza starts in September.
We are very excited to have another permanent, female GP working with us. If you were previously registered under Dr Singh, you will automatically be changed to Dr Laroza.

Currently we have no internet so our telephones are also down. We are not sure what has caused this or how long it will take to come back but it seems widespread around Wellington. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you everybody for your patience and understanding this week. Our computer system is now functional again although very slow.
Please be reassured that there was no data breach and all of your information is secure.

The phones should now be working but our practice management system will still be down for a day or two while we wait for new hardware so we are not able to access your medical records.
Please be aware that it will take longer than usual for repeat medication requests.
