A beautiful young person said to me this week, "I want to bring back boredom because what we do is too crazy". What an enlightened thing to say. Stopping, stilling, expanding silence, being... does more than bring us calm. It leads us to Truth under the crazy. We have an inkling that the overwhelm and business is not who we truly are or want to be. Yogis over thousands of years who had/have nothing to proove cannot be wrong can they? How you start your day will shape your day, your life. Before you even open your eyes, gently press the palm of your hand to your chest. Slight smile on your lips to tell your nervous system that everything is okay, even if part of you is saying its not all okay. Take a deep breath in, and out. Ask yourself what you need today. Wait for the answer that is already waiting to float up. Or feel the warm sensation of your plam on your chest. Feel as though it has already happened with every nerve and cell in your body. Change your mind. Believe in this subtle experience. Go about your day. Feel the shift.
