There are certain things we would like back once the need has gone, so they can be given out to other's that are "high need" for example, cot's, baby prem clothes

Warning fowl language.

I have been suffering with sciatica for 8 weeks and it locked muscles across my back hips and felt like I was wearing a belt. No amount of stretching, bathing in Rongoā nor wai could shake it, I was so desperate I had Neurophen which wore off too quickly, so I bit the bullet and booked in for Romiromi knowing it was not going to be pleasant, but when you are ready to heal, and face your demons your good to go. I am sore today but that's all part of the journey, no more sciatica, it's not all fairy dust, bubbles and feathers. I dedicate this post to my journey of clearing the line, one healing at a time.

Its a funny thing serving in this light. I found myself in the deepest of sleep this afternoon and pondered the thought that "I came to serve others but I find out I'm serving self.

Maybe I came more for my wellbeing, my kids giggled all afternoon off the wifi, a place where time stops.

Today we had two appointments with high end sickness and suffering, both locked these down in random times and space, the first was a no show which means they have to Harbour their demons until they are ready for THAT pot of tea, the other surrendered and was open to a smorgasbord of complex sufferings that has finally caught up with her body, highly intuitive, listens to their heart, resilient as fudge, and the Koha speaks for itself.

On Friday at Te Whare Marie we had a soul book in today for a Kawakawa poulice at TKHH and on Sat they were alerted that they were in the vicinity of Covid 19 positive and are now self isolating. This is what is takes to be rid of this dis ease, as a community, country we all need to act accordingly as there are so many vulnerables, eldery, the sick and suffering and the last thing we need is an unessesary wave, WE need to nip it in the butt asap. Lucky for us we only see people by appointment only, and those who don't follow through stay in the car until there is a gap. This is the closest encounter to date, and we will keep this updated fyi.

We must be on our third year serving in this light, and for the first time koha came in the form of healing, without me asking, nor seeing it come which is rare, cupping and Reiki, it felt a tad like love and hate lol and when she was finished I felt ethereal, like a heavy cloak was lifted off me, my soul stretched, and to top it off homemade deodorant. We certainly need more of us in this world, the ancient is very much the new normal, healing self is healing your line above and below, I feel very loved, very blessed and very very grateful to recieve this gesture, and feel this good.

I cant wait to get my mitts on anyone who has acquired the coroner virus, I want to show them how to accelerate their healing through soaking and drinking in the appropriate leaves.

In the mean time I have been suffering with what I believe to have is galstones, the pain is worse then birth and my tolerance is very high, the thing is....when serving the sick and vulnerable especially over lockdown, people dismiss my predicament and still want me to focus on their mamae. Even when I blatently say "I'm no good to anyone" they still expect me to serve them. Yes, healthy boundries are the one, and I cant do you if I cant do me, but somethings got to give. In the meantime zoning out to music works a treat.

Koha comes in all shapes and sizes this is a reflection of someone's healing, it is part of the process, as for mine, it's soul food no matter what it looks like lol.

It can be yours also.

Our Story

We were the Koha Shed - Cannons Creek but due to more P shops in the hood I cannot trust the koha coming in is not contaminated, nor can I live with myself if contaminated soft toys walk into clean homes so we closed an re opened as The Koha Healing Hub to show how this kaupapa can work in many shades of light.

On a Thursday 10-2pm a post is made and you reply to the comment to lockdown and appointment. A private conversation happens before the day to see what is needed.

What is offered?

A rongoa consultation, I have been a practitioner for five years harvesting from Porirua for the people of Porirua running from my clinic at Te Whare Marie in Kenepuru on a Friday 10-1pm. taught by Ema Weepu, whom was taught by Te Awhina Riwaka whom was taught by her Uncle Kapi Adams. They derive from Maniapoto and this is where this matauranga derives from.
