Off the Bar Therapy

Off the Bar Therapy Level 3 Fascial Stretch Specialist, and level 6 remedial massage therapist. What is FST and who can benefit from it?

It is a type of stretching that targets the fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds muscles, bones, and joints. Through using traction the entire joint and joint capsule are addressed, this helps to remove restrictions, which can help with increasing range of motion and stimulating lubrication within the joint. It is also addressing the plane/lines of fascia, not just the individual muscle. Quite simply it’s like wearing your tightest pair of jeans and then exchanging them for a comfortable pair of track pants after having a FST session. Anyone can benefit from having a session of FST, professional athletes, weekend warriors, people with tight hips, shoulders, people with desk jobs or low back pain. It increases range of motion, can improve performance, improve posture and muscle function to name a few benefits. By improving function, pain can be eliminated or improved. If your interested in a session, please contact me on 021 779 364 or send me a private message. I also have my photography page, Off the Bar Photography, previously known as Cindy McMurtrie Photography.

Just a small notice for my clients. Most of you know my dad has been having some health issues over the last few months. Unfortunately it's escalated this week and we will have some serious decisions to make which may result in a major surgery.

I will be working as normal, but if things change please do not be surprised if I need to reschedule your appointment. While I try very hard not to cancel/reschedule, and give as much notice as I can, given the nature of this, I might not get much notice myself. I'm usually ok talking about this sort of stuff in clinic, im usually an over sharer lol, but if I don't answer your questions, please dont be offended, it's just because I'm trying to keep it together. So I thank you in advance for your patience.

And here's some Beth attitude ⬇️ for sh*ts and giggles.

Our Story

Certified Level 3 Fascial Stretch Specialist (from Stretch to Win in Arizona) and Certified relaxation massage therapist specialising in deep tissue work. I have been working as a deep tissue massage therapist for the last four years and currently working towards Structural Integration while studying Naturopathic Nutrient. Available for Fascial Stretch Therapy every Tuesday, Thursday’s evenings and alternate Saturday’s out of WOF Crossfit in Kenepuru, and every Sunday and Wednesday at my clinic at 64 Dixon St.
