Jessica recently attended a Hip and Knee GLA:D course in Christchurch. GLA:D represents an evidence based treatment plan for osteoarthritis (OA) consisting of patient education and neuromuscular exercise with the overall aim of implementing current clinical guidelines for osteoarthritis in clinical care. While Jessica Fowler Physiotherapy has not commenced running GLA:D classes yet, we are taking expressions of interest. Also the great news is that most of the treatment plan principles can still be applied within standard physiotherapy appointments.
