It helps us reach a state of physical, mental and spiritual cleansing and healing. Lomi lomi uses fluid, rhythmic motions of the forearms and hands, with long, continuous, flowing strokes – like gentle waves moving over the body. This massage relaxes the entire being, assisting in the release of old beliefs, patterns and behaviours that cause limitations, and which are stored in the cells of our bodies. It also cleanses the muscle toxins that build up because of stressful living. Lomi lomi is especially good for reducing stress, increasing circulation, speeding recovery from illness. Lomi lomi therapists send the flow of love from their heart through their hands, connecting with the soul of the person receiving the massage.
