Hi Massage Family
Well i went for a trip to Coromandel and had a trip....... yes my hand ....... i tripped and fell hard and injured my scaphoid. So the outcome so far has been a plaster for 10 days and then had another xray on Thursday. The doctor couldnt see a break which is fantastic news but because i still have bruising, very tender to touch, also difficulty to move and the scaphoid is a tricky bone in the wrist, im back in plaster for another 3 weeks. A bit of therapy post plaster and I'll be ready to rock n roll again....... fingers crossed
What a start to my year!!!!!

Its been a very tough 2 weeks.
Two weeks ago today i had a terrible painful pulsing in my jaw/temple, that after several days of 9/10 pain and temps in the 39/40's and a swollen face - i went to Middlemore for investigation in the wee early hours Thurs.
Friday i had surgery for an embedded wisdom tooth and home the following day. Tests showed inflammation & bacterica so they eliminated one of the possible causes being the tooth.
Things definately didnt get any better and by Monday i was sucking back pain relief to no avail and my jaw/temple & mouth even worse. A&E and more meds werent helping.
A follow up call from a Facial Suregon at MHH had me back in within hours.
I was back in surgery for a puss infection from my jaw to hairline. (Thurs) I have been in so much horrendous pain for so long. 2 days ago a change in antibiotics and i had a breakthrough yesterday as they thought i would be back for more cleanup surgery. Two drains in my head and 2 in my mouth have been reduced to one each. I think we have turned a corner fingers crossed 🤞
Cultures & results to come from Infectious Diseases and bloods etc are on the improve daily

I must be feeling a little better, i picked up my crochet hook for a bit yesterday after over 2 weeks.
So grateful to Shona Rapley and forever so thankful to Simon Marcel & Eilidh Marcel for their love and care, my family who seem so far away right now and my friends who check in daily.

This means I can only work on fully vaccinated clients which is a must in this line of close contact business so please don’t be offended when I ask.  Any questions feel free to message me.

*If you have ANY COLD or FLU like symptoms (e.g. cough, sneezing, sore throat, headaches, runny nose, loss of smell, or shortness of breath) or have been in a location of interest in the last 14 days you will need to let me know.
*If you have hay fever or sinus issues it may help to take anti- histamines 3 days before to avoid any problems.
*If you need to cancel or postpone your appointment please give me as much notice as possible.  My health, your health and our families health is most important at this time.
