Tempo training involves manipulating the time under tension of each exercise by slowing down or speeding up the tempo at which you perform each rep. This can help challenge your muscles in new ways and promote muscle growth and strength gains.

Here's an example of how to incorporate tempo training into your next leg day:

1️⃣ Squats: 3 sets of 10 reps, 3 seconds down, 1 second up
2️⃣ Lunges: 3 sets of 12 reps, 2 seconds down, 2 seconds up

Through this post my intention is that you contemplate what understanding Calories really mean to you. And that you gain clarity around the many facets associated with calories. What I have noticed is that there are many conflicts around understanding calories - my job is to educate you to make the right choices and decisions around your health and wellness goals.

Have you ever wondered why understanding calories will help you achieve your health and wellness goals? We have all heard the saying that "abs are made in the kitchen, not in the gym!"

1. Manage your weight: Knowing how many calories you need to consume each day and tracking your calorie intake can help you manage your weight. If you consume more calories than your body needs, you will gain weight, and if you consume fewer calories than your body needs, you will lose weight.

2. Make healthier food choices: Understanding the calorie content of different foods can help you make healthier choices. For example, you may choose to eat more fruits and vegetables, which are generally lower in calories than processed and high-fat foods.

3. Monitor your portion sizes: Portion sizes can have a significant impact on your calorie intake. Understanding the calorie content of different foods can help you monitor your portion sizes and ensure that you are not overeating.
