Formally opened by Mayor Glyn Lewers and blessed by Matapura Ellison, this milestone reflects our enduring promise to the community. Give your time, your words, your presence - tukua te wฤ ki a koe, ล kupu, ko koe tonu.

Volunteering and being involved with your community is strongly linked with feeling good and functioning well. Carrying out acts of kindness, whether small or large, can increase happiness, life satisfaction and general sense of wellbeing. Even a smile is something we can all give.

Some ideas:
โ€ขDo something nice for a friend, or a stranger. Thank someone, smile, or volunteer your time by joining a community group.
โ€ขWhile driving, stop to let a car into the traffic.
โ€ขJoin a community clean up day โ€“ it could be a local stream, river, beach or park - or a tree planting project with friends or family.

Originally from Christchurch, Katelyn spent a year living in Argentina and is fluent in Spanish. She moved to Queenstown in 2018 and quickly became a valued part of the QMC team.

With decades of experience and a deep commitment to patient care, Simon has been part of the Queenstown Medical Centre team since 2004.

Originally from the Rhondda Valley in South Wales, Simon graduated from Kingโ€™s College Hospital Medical School, University of London in 1983. Before settling in Queenstown, he spent many years practising medicine in remote tropical locationsโ€”bringing a global perspective to his work here in our community.
