Last week we welcomed Jess to the Queenstown Clinic! She is fresh off of the plane from the UK.
Jess has spent time travelling and biking in Europe and Canada and now plans to enjoy Queenstown to the fullest- biking, hiking, running and climbing and she is excited to help get her patients back to their favourite activities too! Two weeks in and she has already done more than some of us have in the last year!

Jess graduated from the University of Teesside with an MSc in Physiotherapy in 2023, following a BSc in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation in 2021. She has spent the past four years working in private practice and private hospitals across the UK. Jess has a special interest in the assessment and treatment of sports injuries, orthopaedic conditions, and post-operative rehabilitation.

'Tis the week before Christmas and all throughout town, people are shopping and wearing party gowns.
The lights are strung but invisible in daylight, waiting for darkness so they can shine through the night.
The lake is calm with paddlers afloat, considering Christmas dinner, 'should I cook goat'?
Biker's gather for beers at Red Rock, while some stay home hanging the giant red sock.
It's hard to imagine St Nick in this place, in his wooly coat, furry hat and round bearded face,
But the kids count the days, as they climb into bed, until St. Nick flies to the lakes on his reindeer led sled,
While the rest of us dream, not of presents and magic, but the last day of work and an end to the traffic.
Out of Office is set, lights are switched off, we skip home or to town for a boozy knock-off.
Could Summer break be the best time of year? The outdoors calls us all for some holiday cheer!
And so we join you, the Physios and I, for a bit of time off, celebrations and shut eye.
Whether you're coming or going, or just staying put, we hope that the New Year starts on a good foot πŸ˜‰.
And for Christmas, Yule, Hanukkah or Kwanzaa, however you celebrate, we wish you a festive bonanza!

I got carried away with this so stay tuned for our Christmas/ New Year opening times in the next post πŸ˜‚Happy Holidays!

Shout out to our wonderful patient Holly Rutherford for completing the half marathon and raising a whopping $2500 for Pinc and Steel. She signed up on a whim, with 8 weeks to train, and decided to do it in memory of her mum by raising money for charity. We are so grateful and proud of you Holly! Not many people can say their drunken decisions end up being charitable!

Pinc and Steel is such a worthy cause and one close to our hearts. Every donation helps fund essential services, equipment, and recovery programmes, that change lives every day. Whether it’s helping someone walk again, manage chronic pain, or regain independence after treatment or injury, physiotherapy makes it possible β€” especially for those fighting or recovering from cancer.

Her donation page is still open so if you want to say congratulations with some $$. Follow the link below!
