A big shout out to our incredible Arrowtown Lifestyle Village Residents’ Committee, who open their bar for us when hosting local clubs and groups. And a very special thank you to our volunteer barmen, Cam and Lindsey, who generously give their time behind the bar to help make these events possible. Your efforts don’t go unnoticed and are hugely appreciated by us all.

Last night we had the pleasure of hosting the Rotary Club of Queenstown for their fundraising event — a fantastic evening topped off with some colourful and entertaining insights from newly minted CNZM, Tony Quinn.

It’s also worth celebrating that our bar continues to support the Lions Club’s “Can Tabs” charity initiative, with all our wine bottle lids being collected and recycled for a great cause 🍷♻️

A wonderful example of community spirit in action — thank you everyone involved!

We were absolutely delighted to host two wonderful workshops over the weekend run by the Arrowtown Horticultural Society, alongside the very talented Jolene from Estelle Flowers, Dunedin.

On Saturday, Jolene worked with the group to create beautiful street garlands to contribute to the upcoming Autumn Festival — a fantastic community project.

Sunday’s Autumn Foraged Florals Workshop was just as special, featuring a thoughtful discussion around foraging and sustainability, followed by a floral demonstration. The results were stunning, as you can see from this selection...

We’re delighted to share that the results from the Arrowtown Lifestyle Village Garden Party has now gone over $14,000 for the Arrowtown Volunteer Fire Brigade!

Once again a huge thank you to the many local businesses and our our wonderful residents who helped make the event possible. Your support and generosity made this fantastic result for our local fire brigade possible.

Mary May!!

Meet Mary May.
I'd have to say she is one of the loveliest. Mary grew up in the Cardrona Valley at Spotts Creek, and as a young girl milked the cows and made home made butter the old school way.
She further moved all the way to the Gibbston Valley.
I talked to her about the development in both places, and Mary is all for progress!
Having come from rural stock, I do love a good rural girl story!

She will be in the Otago Daily Times some time over the weekend and the Wānaka Sun next week.

We’re so excited to share that we have an Olympian grandson at the Village! Lyon Farrell, competing at the Winter Olympics, has shared a special message for Bob and Sue - what a lovely guy!

After his event yesterday, Lyon gave a special shout-out to his supporters here at the village. The Cinema was full of proud surrogate grandparents cheering him on from home. We’ll be following along and wishing Lyon all the very best!
