or just bring yourself. Life is loud, you get to have a silent hour.
In a world that is busy, here’s a whole hour to rest, to dream, to draw, to wonder, to be still. No bright lights, music or devices. No plan except to stop and pause.

Measles is very contagious and there are cases close to Waimarino - if you are born later than 1969 you need two doses of MMR vaccine - children can receive vaccine at 12 months and 15months - call us to check if you and your tamariki are protected against measles

UPDATE:

Our movement class in the gym space Ruapehu Health Ltd has been cancelled for the winter. This is due to multiple factors. We apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
We recommend these classes if you are looking for exercise for all levels of mobility.
The Ohakune class is based out of the Lions club on Arawa street.
We hope to reassess this class closer to summer and will keep you updated.

Do you have one hour a week to volunteer?
Do you like connecting with new people?

Age Concern Whanganui would like to extend its visiting service to our area and is in need of people wanting to volunteer to visit an older member of our community.
These older people find it hard to leave their home and are missing social connection in their week.
If you feel like this is something you would like to do and you are over the age of 18 then please reach out to Ruapehu Health Ltd Wellness Team -Ruapehu Health and we will put you in contact with Age concern Whanganui to discuss further.

Alternatively, if you are or have an older person at home and would like a visit, please let us know and we will put you on the list in the interim period.

Age Concern is a charitable organisation dedicated solely to people over 65.
