We’re Hiring: Wellbeing & Engagement Coordinator
Location: Raglan Rest Home and Hospital
Hours: 9am–3pm, 2 days per week (11paid hours total)
Type: Part-time | Permanent
Pay Rate: NZ$24–NZ$29 per hour (based on experience)

Do you believe in the power of connection, creativity, and compassion? We’re looking for a vibrant Wellbeing & Engagement Coordinator to bring heart, humour, and inspiration to our residents’ lives.
This position combines the purpose of a Diversional Therapist and the creativity of an Activities Coordinator. It’s ideal for someone who understands both the therapeutic value of recreation and the magic of community engagement. Whether you’re registered with the NZ Society of Diversional and Recreational Therapy or you’ve built experience coordinating activities in aged care, your passion for enriching lives is what matters most.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create & Deliver activity programs that support emotional, physical, and cognitive wellbeing
• Facilitate group sessions like music, movement, crafts, gardening, reminiscence therapy, and outings
• Provide One-on-One Engagement tailored to resident interests and abilities
• Coordinate Events that celebrate culture, seasons, and individual stories
• Collaborate with clinical and care teams to ensure activities align with individual care plans
• Encourage Participation and adapt approaches for different cognitive or mobility levels
• Track Outcomes to inform future planning and contribute to therapeutic goals
Ideal Skills & Experience:
• Experience in aged care preferred but not essential
• Background in recreation, therapy, or aged care activities
• Empathetic communication and a genuine love of working with older adults
• Creativity, adaptability, and initiative
• Strong planning and time management abilities
• Cultural awareness and inclusivity
• Basic digital literacy for documentation and scheduling
• Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team

• Hold New Zealand Residency
• Have a valid driver’s licence
