When these four components are coupled together they create an electrochemical signal in the amygdala's post synaptic neutrons. This signal brings forth AMPA receptors (like an alarm bell) and a PKM- Zeta like enzyme (like glue).

These alarm bells are glued in place which creates a strong pathway to the emotional response and activation of the flight, fight or freeze response. So when you get triggered in the future you experience the same emotional and activated response.

A simple technique that removes the glue and allows the alarm bells to retreat.
