Meet Nikita! 🤩
Nikita is our superstar receptionist that has been a part of the team almost as long as we have been open - since November 2022!
A bit about Nikita ⬇
I’m a bubbly, friendly, and outgoing person who loves putting a smile on everyone’s face. I believe life is all about constantly growing and learning, and I enjoy challenging myself and trying new things along the way.
Outside of work, I love spending time with family and friends, especially my Chihuahua, Peaches. I have a deep love for horses and enjoy being around them whenever I can. I’m also happiest when I’m outdoors in nature, whether it’s hiking with a view, relaxing at the beach, or reading a good book.
Since joining the team at Symmetry Chiropractic, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible benefits chiropractic care can bring to people’s lives. It’s truly rewarding to be part of a space that supports health and wellbeing in such a positive and holistic way.

Get to know the team!
Lets start with Dr Yvonne - Founder and Chiropractor at Symmetry Chiropractic 👩🏼‍🎓
Growing up on a farm, I learned early on the value of movement, health, and hard work. My love for animals and sport - especially equestrian - sparked a lifelong fascination with how the body functions and heals. That passion naturally led me to chiropractic, where I could combine science, hands-on skill, and a genuine desire to help both people and animals thrive.
After completing my first year of health science in Dunedin, I went on to study at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic in Auckland, graduating in 2019 with the John Nolan Diagnostic Imaging Award. My career has taken me from Whangarei to Timaru, and in 2022, I moved to Rangiora and opened Symmetry Chiropractic to bring my vision of balanced, family-focused, and animal-inclusive chiropractic care to the North Canterbury community.
I’m passionate about caring for the whole family - from newborns to grandparents - and I love helping children get the best start in life. I’m equally devoted to animal chiropractic, working with horses, dogs, and other animals to support their movement, comfort, and wellbeing.
Outside the office, I enjoy keeping active — whether that’s walking my dog, spending time outdoors, or weightlifting. Staying active keeps me balanced and energised, ready to give my best to the families and animals I care for.

Dr Yvonne attended a seminar a week ago learning all about cranial adjusting!
These adjustments can benefit a wide array of conditions including TMJ dysfunction, headaches as well as post concussion symptoms.
Our Chiropractors complete yearly CPD (professional development) so that we are constantly learning new techniques to benefit our clients in order to provide the best possible care.

FAQ's ❓🙋
We commonly get asked - do I need to see my GP after an injury before visiting a chiropractor?
The answer is NO!
Chiropractors are primary health care providers which means we can lodge ACC claims if you have sustained an injury to your spine (neck or back) or your limbs (shoulders, ankles, knees, wrists etc).
