Measles is a serious and highly contagious disease. Aotearoa is at very high risk of a measles outbreak. The best protection against measles is the free measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine. Call Reception on 313-7877 to book a vaccine appointment with the Nurse. See the link below for the most up to date Measles information.

New Zealand currently has measles cases linked to overseas travel, and the risk of measles being brought back into New Zealand by travellers remains high. Immunisation is the best protection and will help to prevent the spread of measles in our local communities.

This week Medical Corner Doctors staff were pleased to be able to support The Grannies Collective Craft Group by collecting toiletries for those in need. The Craft group create toilet bags and then donate them to The North Canterbury Police Family Harm Unit.

This week we had the privellege of helping serve a meal at the Community Kai initiative run by The Hope Community Trust. We had a great night and look forward to being able to help again in the future. Thankyou for having us.

Last weekend the Medical Corner Doctors Team, along with friends and family, attended the North Canterbury Cancer Society Relay for Life. We want to extend a huge thanks to all of those involved and to everyone who donated so generously. With your help we managed to raise just over $2000 for the cause.
