Residents across Waimakariri frequently tell me they are struggling to get timely appointments with their local GP. From June, pharmacists will be able to assess, consult, and provide funded medicines to families for common conditions like lice, scabies, conjunctivitis, pain and fever. This means faster, cheaper access to treatment, less pressure on GPs, and care closer to home for families.
