Murray McGeorge Toy Library The toy library is located on the corner of Athol place in Ravensbourne and open from 2-4pm Saturdays. Fees vary from library to library.

Toy Libraries offer a range of quality toys, puzzles, games and learning activities for members to hire for a set period of time. In NZ our toy libraries mainly cater for children 0-8 years. Many libraries also stock games, puzzles, sport, musical and other play items suitable for the entire family. Some therapeutic toy libraries such as those run by CCS focus on children with special needs. Toy Libraries are run by a group of volunteers for the benefit of children in your community.

Did you know that it’s only $1 to hire each of these toys for 2 weeks 😱

Hiring toys from the toy library provides toy storage, toy rotation and saves $$$

Bring in the kids to choose which toys they want for the week or fortnight and watch their play and imagination grow.

Open today 2-4pm ☀️

We have just finished our renovation of our toilet area, we think it looks fantastic! A huge thank you to the Alexander McMillan Trust for the funding received to cover the cost of the plumbing and fixtures, vinyl and installation.

A special thanks to local man Mike from M N Butler Plumbing and Drainage for fitting this job in while we were closed over the school holidays and Dunedin Carpet Court for the vinyl and installation.

Finishing touches to the walls including supplies for filling and painting was completed by our ever so busy volunteer Sharlene. Thank you so much for your time and effort you have put into this project.

Looking for new toys to entertain the kids on these cold Dunedin mornings?

Pop down to the Toy Library located at 2 Athol Place in Ravensbourne Saturday 26th between 2pm-4pm and check out what we have to borrow.

Toys for babies, toddlers, young children and school aged.

Our toy hire is $1 for 2 weeks and puzzles for 50c for 2 weeks.

Membership $20 for a family per year.

Options for grandparent membership.

We wish to say a very big THANK YOU to the Lottery Grant Board for their funding received late October 2024. This funding has been used to purchase these wonderful toys.
Funding was also used to purchase packaging for toys, table to display toys, land lease, 3 months of water/power and costs related to setting up our new online software program - MiBase NZ.
