Not every yoga class goes to plan…
This morning, during the 6am class, just as we started to slow down and find our breath, a very enthusiastic drill decided to join us.
It was loud. Really loud.
I found myself almost shouting over it. I couldn’t hear the music. It wasn’t the class I planned. And for a moment, I felt that little wave of frustration rise.
But here’s the thing — yoga isn’t about perfect conditions. It’s not about silence, soft lighting, and everything aligning just so.
It’s about how we respond when it doesn’t.
Life is a bit like that unexpected drill at 6am.
We don’t always get the calm, quiet version we imagined. Sometimes it’s messy. Sometimes it’s noisy.
And in those moments, we breathe.
We adapt.
We soften.
We keep going.
To the women who were in the class today — thank you for rolling with it.
This is practice. Not perfection.
On and off the mat 🤍
