Recovery isn’t just about getting out of crisis. It’s about learning how to belong again.

For Her Movement exists to create this space as you move from treatment and back into community as we know that transition can be challenging.

Our next cohort for the reintegration program we run will be open to waitlist next week.

I believe in reintegration because I believe in second chances and I know first hand what’s possible when you are empowered in the right space and that’s why I founded the For Her Movement.

For Her Movement aims to create a safe space for wāhine and rangatahi that are leaving DV, addiction, incarceration or long term unemployment to gain practical tools whilst understanding the nuances of recovery and the lack of confidence that may still linger.

Our next cohort is opening soon ❤️

Keep an eye on www.it’smeljay.com to find out about our funded reintegration community program.

If this feels or sounds familiar maybe it’s not your personality but your nervous system.

If you want to support our wāhine reintegration program you can make a koha at the link below. 100% of donations go to running the program and resources for the wāhine.

Currently we are 100% self funded, our program provides food, a space for the program, beauty kits and so much more.

The wāhine we work with have completed crisis treatment and are now navigating returning to the community after addiction, domestic violence or incarceration.

Even the smallest amount can make a big impact in changing the direction in one of these woman's lives.

Lots has been happening in our first cohort really hard to put into words but here I try ❤️

Supporting wāhine move into the most empowered version of them has been so rewarding to witness I’m so proud of each one of them and grateful to all the support we have received.

All the support is directly helping these wāhine create a new life and we are so grateful ❤️
